And many of those that might know don't realize its only a dual exit on a single exhaust.

Re: 2015 Limited V6 loses dual exhaust

IMO I what's the big deal about dual vs. single? Sure dual looks better, but to say it's a deal breaker makes no sense.

Re: 2015 Limited V6 loses dual exhaust

That really sucks the Limited V6 lost dual exhaust for 2015. I really like that look, whether there's a performance hit/advantage or not. It makes the rear-end look more balanced/even. Glad I have it on my 2014.

Most enthusiasts buyers do care. No doubt about it. Maybe not to the point that it's a deal breaker, but if I were in the market for a 2015 Pentastar GC, it might just be a deal breaker. Either that, or I'd spend (waste) the money buying a new dual outlet valence, the extra muffler and related parts to make it work, plus the heat shielding etc...

Actually, that's exactly what I did on my Audi. Here's what it looks like from the back now. It used to have two smaller tips on the left side only. I like it much better this way...

Jeep is just full of shit, I think. They made a big stink how it was a no-brainer to put the dual mufflers/tips on the V6 Limited because it made the vehicle even more quiet. Then they go back to the single tip the very next year? They should have just raised the damn price a bit and left it well enough alone. Hell, look at how many cheap cars have dual outlet exhaust now....even something like a $20K Mazda6 with a 4-cylinder engine has it.

Re: 2015 Limited V6 loses dual exhaust

They actually do market studies on this. Enthusiasts may not believe it but...most people couldn't care less about dual exhaust. They just don't, especially on the base and mid trim levels. The smaller demographic that buys upper trim levels starts to care more.

The Mazda6 is a different animal and has a different demographic of buyers--generally younger and attempting to "look" sporty, regardless of engine. For that vehicle, dual exhaust would have a better showing in market studies.

You have to take into account the target (and acquired) market audience before making any sweeping generalizations.

Re: 2015 Limited V6 loses dual exhaust

When I ordered my 2015 Limited, I had no idea that it would not have dual exhaust. I noticed the single chrome tipped exhaust when I picked it up.

To be honest, it doesn't bother me a bit.

The '14 v6 is a true dual exhaust, not just dual tips.

Isn't this the exhaust on the 2014 V6? Single from the front then Y into a dual exit?

The Mazda was just one example. There are literally hundreds of cheap vehicles with dual outlets exhausts in today's market. My point is that Jeep is saving a few bucks by eliminating it on the V6, after they publicly explained why they were including it on the V6 for the 2014 model year. So one year and then it's gone? LOL, no market study needed....

No it's not. A true dual exhaust system has separate pipes from front to back. Any system that goes two into one and then back into two again is not a "true" dual exhaust system.
