LOL, no market study needed....

More likely, one year and the feedback was that on those trim levels very few cared about it. So yes, it became an ideal spot to save money.

Nope. That's not for MY'14.

I see dual pipes off the engine into the large center muffler and then dual pipes all the way back to the smaller mufflers at the rear.
It might be the same system used for the V8, but I am not sure about that.

What I showed is definitely for MY14 V6...the V8 is different and has a true dual exhaust front to back which I have....u might be seeing the headers from each bank going into the y pipe before the first cat...

Here is my (V8) system (before I installed the Corsa).....

That is what the exhaust on my V6 looks like. I was under there today. Twin pipes and the big old suitcase muffler in the middle.
I believe for My'14, the exhaust was the same for all engines on Limited, Overland, and Summit.

I stand corrected sir! Your eyes are fine The pic above is actually your 3.6 dual system not mine. Mine is very close to yours but different a bit due to bigger tranny and square exit tips, but schematically the same basic setup.

That first pic of a single exhaust, dunno WTF Jeep that goes on.

Re: 2015 Limited V6 loses dual exhaust

Definitely wasn't a deal breaker for me but I get some kind of upset every time that I see a '14 and has the dual exhaust and mine '15 doesn't. But I'm looking for a good aftermarket project to work on it.

If you want it to be factory, I suspect that will be VERY expensive and void the warranty on the exhaust.
That is partly why I went for the 2015 Overland when I replaced my 2014 Limited.

I don't know how the single exhaust sounds, but the Dual has a very nice purr to it.

Maybe 2 model packages pertaining 4 wheel drive system and suspension adjustment but that's it.
YES!
This 'nickel and dime' shit for all these 'packages' that contain shit you don't want is seriously getting out of hand.

Just offer the damn vehicle with a base price and then allow the owner to order the engine/transmission/drive-system they want and then tack on the 'options' as needed at a reasonable price per item.

We all know a hitch doesn't cost $500+, so stop ripping us off.

Technically, it's not just the hitch.

You also get an upgraded alternator, better cooling and a full size spare if you didn't already get one with a 4x4 package. You also get both the 4 and 7 pin plugs.

The price also includes the very well integrated bumper fascia for both the hitch and wiring, which allows the gear to almost disappear. It's very well done.

For $479, I couldn't do all that with parts from the likes of JC Whitney - and I'd have to do the labor myself.

For this vehicle, I said take my money and I'm plenty satisfied with the value.

I've priced towing packages in the past and this is the first one that made financial sense.

Ditto. I always thought the Hitch was a bargain. Most of the packages are pretty attractive price wise.

The few options that tic me off is.

Don't force me to get Panoramic Sunroof if I want something else.
Don't force me to get Ventilated seats if I want something else.
Don't force me to get Lux package is I want something completely unrelated to the Lux package.

Some of this might be efficiency on the production line.
Some of this might be technical reasons because of how the truck is wired or configured electronically.
Some of this is pure marketing.

My thing is, I saw no option online to upgrade the stereo system by itself short of getting the comfort package, which was way out of line price wise considering what I wanted out of it. Further, it looked like I'd then have to pay extra for the Navi system I got because it didn't appear in the expensive package that included the better sound system.

Now, it appears there is a separate upgrade to the stereo system, but for around $500, I may as well pay a bit more and upgrade with aftermarket add-ons.

I ended up having to get a vehicle brought in from over 200 miles away because all the nearest ones in red had sunroofs. I don't want a sunroof because I never used it on my first car and I find they're a huge failure point if you keep a vehicle for a long time. If I want open air, I'll ride the motorcycle.

The really sad part about all these cost cutting measures is the silly things they eliminate, then don't offer as an add-on for those that want them. For example, I keep a small amount of coins in my car for meter parking. I've never owned a vehicle that didn't have a coin holder. I was stunned to not find one. Also, when I opened the hood, I was a bit annoyed to not find a light under it. Now, I will say that most of those lights are pretty useless for any real work. They're no brighter than night lights and only illuminate the top of the engine - which has no road side serviceable parts. Everything you can fix on the road is down low. However, it would be nice not to have to install something as silly as a hood light on a $40,000 vehicle.

One more head scratcher: there are USB ports everywhere on this vehicle. Yet, the one place I want one - inside the center console - there isn't one. That means I need a cigarette lighter adapter to charge my phone in that handy phone tray in the top of the console.
