I think Overland includes just about every option you have to add to an Altitude as well.

Saying the only difference is the Quadra Lift is ridiculous.
It doesn't even have the same 4WD system.

Completely different level of luxury.

The Altitude is basically a Laredo with a unique color scheme.

A Limited is close to an Overland once all optioned up.

I'm not sure why anyone would have a tough time deciding between an Altitude and an Overland if both are in your budget.
He said he is coming out of a Laredo. I doubt he is looking for a v8 and prob will be fine with what the altitude has to offer options wise. The quadra lift is a truly unique feature that the altitude does not offer. As I mentioned, if he does plan doing off road stuff or needs to have his jeep lifted that might be a make or break feature. Obviously the overland will offer more luxury options but coming from a Laredo he probably won't need every bell and whistle.

The major advantage of the Overland is that it's not limited to a very small set of features and options like the Altitude is. QL is only one feature out of a great many that are available on the higher trim level. They are marketed to completely different buying segments in a general sense. Both are good choices to have available.
