There's only mute which cancels when you turn the Jeep off.

Re: 2015 Radio Shut off Question

Nope, I think '13 was the last year where you could actually shut the radio off.

Too many mods to list for each, so let's just say a lot was done over the years.

Yes, very annoying.

I've driven with a friend who is hard of hearing, so I avoid playing music or the radio so he can hear the conversation. The problem is, every time we stop somewhere, I have to keep muting it.

Why is it all these devices now days just assume we want everything on all the time?

I even tried pressing and holding the mute button on the volume knob since that was how my Kenwood system in my old truck shut off. No dice.

Re: 2015 Radio Shut off Question

Easy fix is to just turn it all the way down. The volume level holds when the car is shutdown/restarted

Re: 2015 Radio Shut off Question

Only mute, and screen off. It probably stays on because it is linked to so many other systems as well.

Re: 2015 Radio Shut off Question

Alternative way, switch the media source to bluetooth, if your phone does not have bluetooth turned on, or the bluetooth was not set to play music whenever it connected to a player, then the radio will keep silence when engine started.

Is there a setting to not play music when connected to bluetooth? That drives me nuts.
If I want radio off I choose Aux input.

It's a setting on your phone, or the music player that you use, rather than the uConnect setting.

I tried that, but mine keeps going to AM Radio (which I guess is next in the cycle of inputs) upon restart when it doesn't detect any audio.

Why would the audio have to be turned on for the rest to work? If that were really true, that's a hogwash reason.

That would be like needing to always keep a CD in your head unit for the clock to work.

The systems all run off the same unit, but they're all independent systems made by various vendors. They have very little to do with each other.
