Re: 2015 Summit Platinum

Man I think the new summits look better by far. If they had been out when I bought my 14 overland I'd be driving a summit platinum instead.

THANK YOU for the pics! Those Summits look MUCH better IMHO with Less Chrome!

I also wish it had a Black Headliner to match the interior,
The headliner is probably black. Just looks gray in the photos from the flash.

Those cheap looking speaker nameplates will fall off in no time.

It's just the typical Chrysler way of cutting costs by using the old leftover trim pieces since 2011.

Re: 2015 Summit Platinum

I'm not a fan of the Platinum Summit. It's a strange mix... just like the weird mix of interior and headliner colors.

If they're going to expect people to plunk down the kind of jing they're charging for one then they should fire their design staff and start over with a new group who have an actual sense of style along with an ability to coordinate color combinations.

I'd be curious to see how well that brushed "platinum" look stands up to pitting from road salt.

Re: 2015 Summit Platinum

the platinum brushed chrome was used on wk1 overland in some years.

It held up well back in the last decade im sure it will hold up now.

Back then did same with mixing pure chrome with brushed or platinum.

I'm well aware of that and that's why I never bought a WK1.

It still looks as ugly and out of place today as it did back then.

I received a txt this morning from my Black/Black 14 Summit (you know, fancy Uconnect technology thing) telling me that she would run and sound better if she only had the new 15 audio badging!!

Guess I am going to have to trade her in!

Re: 2015 Summit Platinum

A big thank you to everyone who has contributed pics to this thread!

I'll be in the market soon for a 2015 JGC and have it narrowed down to the Overland or Summit in Granite Crystal with the HEMI. I actually prefer the look the of the Overland over the Summit especially with the 20" wheels but I just wish I could get the HK audio system in the Overland.

I'm still considering the Summit though and am anxious to see one in Granite Crystal with the Platinum package in person. Based on the pics paired with other colors I've see here, I'm not all that impressed.

Re: 2015 Summit Platinum

Love my 2012 Summit, but I wished from day one that it had the illuminated door sill wording. That looks cool. The premium stereo in the 2015 would have been great too. It's nice that Jeep went to the lighter brown color for the Summit. I just think it looks better than the darker brown color.

Do 2014 have illuminated door sills? I don't remember.
