Re: 2015 Tahoe????? No thanks! WAY overpriced compared to grand cherokee or durango

GM interiors have always been horrible. And it's not changing.

Re: 2015 Tahoe????? No thanks! WAY overpriced compared to grand cherokee or durango

I guess I'll be the one who disagrees. I have been in the new Yukon's/Tahoes/Silverado's/Sierra's and I don't really see or feel much of a difference in the Jeep's vs. those. I actually really like the new GM interiors, the materials are great and they are very comfortable. Honestly my black Jeep interior is no different than the black interior of the Sierra I test drove (other than the Jeep is smaller). I also agree with reddogg, that these two vehicles are in different segments. Ultimately I wanted to go smaller in vehicle size and that was the primary reason I chose the Jeep over the Yukon/Sierra. Had nothing to do with the interiors as they both were great. Just my opinion.

Re: 2015 Tahoe????? No thanks! WAY overpriced compared to grand cherokee or durango

^^^agreed. A Family member has had a '15 Yukon Denali for about 6mos now and the interior quality (IMO) feels just as nice if not nicer than a '14 overland.

I haven't been in a new overland on hwy for lengthy period to compare but will say the new yukon cabin is much quieter than my '11 overland at hwy speeds...and for comparison it doesn't seem any louder than a '14 MB S550 that I frequently ride in.

I had an 07 Tahoe that I absolutely loved minus all the inside plastic.

Tahoe is way too large for me, but this interior is not really that bad...

I'm with you on this. The Yukon/Tahoe is a nice truck...but the $70k+ loaded price tag seems incredible to me...I just don't see that at all.

I've seen a few new Tahoes around and I just don't like the exterior at all. I haven't seen the interior in real life but the outside is just not my cup o tea.

As for the price, we have 55k Jeeps now. Who would have thought that 20 years ago.

Re: 2015 Tahoe????? No thanks! WAY overpriced compared to grand cherokee or durango

I was having this discussion on my Lexus forum, when you account for inflation these prices aren't as ridiculous as you would think...in fact they're a little lower. Take my $49,250 Overland, adjusted for inflation back to 1999, 15 years ago we get $34,609.95. I would venture to guess that an Overland was more money than that then, considering I paid $38k for an Explorer Limited in 1997.

$70,000 in 1999 dollars is $49,191...I do recall the Tahoe being a $50k truck back then fully loaded.
