I agree Scott, I wouldn't even park six shooter in the same row as a LR/RR. Id take my old truck over one and it was a 1992 Yukon lol.

Re: 2015 Tahoe????? No thanks! WAY overpriced compared to grand cherokee or durango

Sorry jeep lovers , GM absolutely dominates the full size suv market:
GM Dominates Full-Size SUV Market

Supply and demand; if they couldn't charge what they do and still sell then they wouldn't charge it. You think Jeep said to themselves; hmm, should we charge 70K for a base Laredo? Nah, that would be too "overpriced". Course not, they charge what they can get away with to maximize revenue, just like GM does. And the top trim jeep GC's are definitely overpriced as well.

But that depends on your definition of "overpriced"; you may not want to pay that, or see the value in it, but the market proves you guys wrong; people are snapping these things up, you can't logically call a vehicle that has >50% of the market "overpriced", that kind of statement just means you're clueless.

But I'm kind of shocked to see that the site founder would troll his own forum and trash the competition, never expected that

Why can't some guys like more than 1 vehicle? It always has to come down to "my ride is better than yours". It's like you're missing a feature that other humans are equipped with, the ability to like more than 1 car at a time, to appreciate the advantages of other cars.

From a guy who's previous ride was a gm and now, nervously, owns a GC; long live Jeep!

Good point... the original Jag E-Type, adjusted for inflation, is less than an Overland.

Wonder if the Grand Wagoneer could be had in black, with a bigger Hemi, for secret service motorcade duty?

So, how was the ignition switch?

I've owned 3 GM vehicles and rented hundreds if not dozens of them.
... and have gotten into a GM vehicle parked next to mine and the freakin' key FIT and was able to start the vehicle. Yikes.

Push button ignition lol. Ugly button, but worked fine.

As for the Jag E Type adjusted for inflation, not quite cheaper than an Overland. About the same price as a Summit

Re: 2015 Tahoe????? No thanks! WAY overpriced compared to grand cherokee or durango

My overland was in the shop more during the 1st 6mos than my 07 Tahoe was in 4yrs of ownership. The jeep for the most part has been solid since but like others have said, two different vehicles, two different classes and believe it's silly to compare the two. They both have their minor quality bugs and quirks.

Exactly. Gm's fullsize powertrain is rock solid. I never think twice or worry about my Yukon, even with higher miles.

"troll my own forum and trash the competition"? LOL...ok buddy. I posted an opinion based on seeing the GM's for the first time. Mayeb I shoulda put more thought into the first post...but I was really amazed at the pricing. GM is smart though...they have no competition...so price it to make a ton of $$$$. And for what its worth...Ive always liked the GM/GMC. Not crazy about the rear hatch and tails on these. I was ta the GM dealer looking at a cruze...and thought ...."hey maybe I can get a base model Tahoe 4x4 for about $35k?" Boy was I wrong!

The yukons are growing on me. But I'd rather buy a rental property than pay 70k for a Yukon with nav and leather.

The Tahoe is nice too but not worth what dealers are asking.

If I were spending that kind of cash on a car it'd be a loaded SRT, Porsche cayenne or a v8 x5.

THIS! This is exactly what I would be doing....I really hope Jeep keeps improving the Grand Cherokee because in 2017 when I am ready for another vehicle I would really like to buy another SRT.

I know I just got my 14 but I've already decided my next jeep is going to be the SRT. I like those other suv's I mentioned but I'd never seriously consider one. Maybe I've been brainwashed or maybe Chrysler has mind control over me somehow.

Now that i say that mind control thing I'm starting to wonder.....could it be?

Re: 2015 Tahoe????? No thanks! WAY overpriced compared to grand cherokee or durango

I've got a 2014 summit and a 2015 Yukon Denali (wife's car and kid hauler). The Denali is one of the nicest riding SUVs I've ever been in. The interior is very high quality and compares in every way to the Jeep. Note, I absolutely love my jeep.

For a people mover and a toy hauler the yukon beats the jeep in every way. Keep in mind both are purpose built vehicles and to compare the two really isn't fair. One thing the Jeep absolutely dominates is the Uconnect. GMC's version isn't even in the same league.

I think the Jeep is a lot more fun to drive and I would not buy a yukon for myself. But if you're in the market for one it is an impressive vehicle.

GMC will continue to dominate the full-size market. My guess is the Grand Wagoneer won't truly be "full-sized" and therefore won't give GM an direct competition in that market. I would love to see what they come up with.
