Re: 2015 Tahoe????? No thanks! WAY overpriced compared to grand cherokee or durango

sorry.....I looked at a denali XL today with cocoa tan interior...2wd.....$74500....and the leather is nothing like the summit. Typical GM leather just like in my dads 08 4 door GMC truck...same exact leather. We pulled them side by side....same stuff. Same shifter on the wheel....It was HUGE though. You could haul an army in those things. My mom wants a denali....not XL though and not 2wd.

Re: 2015 Tahoe????? No thanks! WAY overpriced compared to grand cherokee or durango

$75k...crazy. Thats what an Escalade should cost IMHO.

GM's a little out there on price in a few areas. I've looked at the current crop of Cadillacs...the new CTS can top $70k...I'd just buy a loaded 5 series. The XTS gets to $65k...and its a FWD platform shared car. I think they're being a little aggressive.

Now I have heard that they will come off those prices $10k with little effort, guy who works for me (Who just bought an Overland BTW) was looking at the CTS and they said any one on the lot just take $10k off. Not a good strategy GM IMHO.

Same can be said of Chrysler, considering I just paid ~$7k under MSRP for my Overland. Imagine how well the GC would sell if my Overland was $43k? They wouldn't have to discount, resale values would look better...

I guess we'll agree to disagree. You nailed the shifter though, it was the same as my 07 Denali! At least I don't miss gears when I shift with it, unlike the Jeep.

yeah...sometimes its hard for people to catch on to new tech. Ill take the new tech over 80's tech. never missed a beat on my 14 SRT....easy as pie.

Ouch, thanks for knocking me. I figure I was pretty tech savy. I guess I need to pay an extra 10 grand for an SRT to be able to shift from park to reverse and not end up in neutral.

I'd say that's 10k well spent. For the shifter and the 6.4....

Nope...just hold button and it's one click to reverse. ..3 clicks to drive. I don't know what's so hard?

I agree! It is super easy to use I don't know how you could mess it up unless you are totally not paying attention to what you are doing....plus all of the 8 speeds use the same shifter if I remember correctly. I think it's an excellent design and one of the many things I absolutely love about the 2014!!

I too am having a hard time adjusting to the new shifter. No big deal, but I too would prefer the previous shifter.

I find if I don't go fast enough it stops at neutral. I have to take my foot off the brake, let go of the button and start again for the addition click into D. Same going into Park. It will stop at reverse.

I would if I had the money to. Sometimes we tend to hate on the things we can't have but overall it's a nice looking SUV it's something different but definitely nice just like the new Chevy/gmc trucks
Still love my jeep tho 😊
