Yep, best money I ever spent. I knew my Scat Pack was at the dealer before my salesman did. Plus the upgrade gets you some nice perks, and keeps this site running.

High altitude in KZ status(released by plant), shouldn't be long now.

Anybody seen any driving impressions yet for the 2016s? Curious what people think of the electric steering.

There was this:
Quote:
Handling was also given high marks. Judges said, “Steering feel and control is top notch,” “Nice balance. Feels light and flickable,” and “Tracks straight and true. No-drama cruiser.”
...in this article.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

...and here's something I hadn't noticed before about the new steering (from the 2016 brochure):

Quote:
ELECTRIC POWER STEERING WITH SELECTABLE DRIVE MODES: Allows you to adjust your steering to match your driving style. Go with the factory setting for your daily commute, or select Comfort or Sport mode, and steering-wheel tension is adjusted accordingly.

^I'm all for the feature, I like it. Im just worried Chrysler found a way to make it function erratically.

Post some pictures if you can when you get it, I've got a High Altitude in D1 status and can't wait to see what actually did change on the exterior.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Just thought I would link to this post Milous made in a different thread for those on the fence about 2016 or 2017. The information made waiting for MY2017 worth it more to me.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I believe the "new model" he is referring to in that post is the new larger Grand Wagoneer.

No, the new model/trim I am referring to is part of the Grand Cherokee line up. The Grand Wagoneer is a whole new vehicle and won't show up until MY2019. If you read the post that I linked to, Milous explains it. My guess would be the TrailHawk is being added to the GC line up as its own model like the Cherokee and Renegade have.

That's MY19 as it will share the new platform with JGC. I'm guessing this "new model" could potentially be something that folks were asking for awhile back and didn't get in MY14-15...

Trailhawk Edition, to be announced June 24th in coordination with the premiere of Independence Day 2? Just a guess since we saw Trailhawks with 2014+ fascias in the trailer.
