Are these for overseas or are they shipping to the south and west coast too? I rarely see car carriers loaded with Jeeps for ??? local ??? shipment.

I get to see all the colors and differences in the models parading by, by the dozens daily. The lot holds maybe 1500 vehicles. Mercedes and BMW are here too.
Thanks for asking that...I drive by there with some frequency (including today on the way home from the DC area) and was wondering about all the lovely Jeeps sitting there right before going into the tunnel. It was pretty much totally bare of JGCs today, however...

Thank you for a quick response. Are the changes for the 2016 model for our market same as for the US, or not? I pre ordered 2016 model based on changes for the US market and can't get any info from Jeep Australia about 2016 model. Only info I got is that they included remote start key for Australia and that the production should start in July If this is the truth and there are no other changes, then I think that MY15 model is a better option.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Surely your 2016 model will get the updated 3.6L engine and the "fixed" shifter? And if production doesn't start until 2016, you might even get Carplay and Android Auto ...

It seems strange that they say your 16 SRT will start production in July, since MY17 GC starts production in July.

Speaking of the 17's can we start a petition to bring back the Black Forest Green please. My current lease is up December 2016, I'd love to get into a '17 green Jeep at that time.

Finally made it back to work today (Baltimore Harbor Tunnel). The FCA lots are indeed empty. Maybe anticipated the snow real well, or more likely halted unloading and put what was here on ships so they could remove all the snow. These lots are marked and it's pretty important that they accurately park. This isn't your ordinary parking lot for snow removal.

Mercedes is full though. Don't envy them getting to the cars and having to clean all the snow off.

I'll wait until the lots are fuller before posting pics.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

There was a very large, ocean-going car carrier docked when I went by yesterday, but clearly the small number of JGCs that were there the week before were gone since that whole area of the lot was snow-covered. And the number of other models was, um...not substantial.

Great ride and thanks for another pic of the shifter and how it looks in that interior color scheme!
