Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Anyone in this thread know if the group buy with Koons Jeep will be reinstated and if not, is there a new group buy in the works for the Northeast area? Thank you 😄

"Group Buys" need to take into consideration the financial needs of the forum going forward. The forum owner is evaluating what form that might take. If you want more information, please PM Scottina. Discussion of group buys is not something that can happen in the open forum at this time at the forum owner's determination. And don't shoot the messenger...

Oh great, now more panels will dent as easily as my aluminum hood did/does

I know its progress and mostly good. Aluminum is the new steel....

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Would aluminum body be considered a minor refresh?

Ford was claiming F150 sales were off because of a lack of supply. Now they announced 7 - 10 thousand dollars in rebates to keep the numbers up.

Maybe Milous was just referring to a new color.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Not sure if I'm ready for Chrysler to attempt using more aluminum, but the GC is a porker. Could use a diet.

New: Redesigned shifter

Anyone have more details? I bought an Altitude a few months ago and sometimes, I hate the shifter. Not that I'm gonna trade in a 2015 for a 2016 just for a better shifter, but I'm still curious if they 'fixed' it.

The new shifter will act like shifters have for decades before FCA solved a problem that didn't exist. It will still be electronic, but the shifter will have detents so it will stay where you put it, not go back to a center position.
