But they each have only one altitude edition. So does the GC... it's now the HA.

All I see on the Jeep site is that they each have a 75th edition and a HA. Same as the GC. The Cherokee has the 75th edition and an Altitude.

2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I wanted a High Altitude interior and options with an exterior Altitude look. They announce the High Altitude will be based off of an Overland and I was excited to get one. I sold over $10,000 worth of baseball cards and saved cash, and then they come out with a Summit looking sport edition with Trivalent chrome. So i bought an HA and like it a lot but I saw another Altitude yesterday. I guess I should have just bought an Altitude or Overland, but I much prefer the High Altitude options, interior, black body color mirrors and door handles and gloss black rear step pad and gloss black emblems, sport tuned suspension and black hid headlights and dark taillights so HA was the best choice for me even though I do still prefer the Altitude or Overland bumpers and fenders. So now I'm trying to get the dealer to swap the parts or find a customer that would want to.

I do agree they should bring back the Altitude and they should give me and others on here a nice big check for the idea that they are making $ millions off of.

The HA doesn't start at $52k. Don't be dramatic.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Two separate questions:

1. Does anybody know when one can order a 2016 GC in luxury brown pearl coat? It starts production Apr 19 but my local dealer in Ontario doesn't even show it yet?

2. what are the pros and cons of skid plates.... I see they are an option on the summit model.

I was talking to the SRT Team on Friday and they said that some of the new colors have been delayed. I was waiting for Ivory Tri Coat Pearl, which was supposed to go into production on March 1. You cannot even order it yet and they told me that they aren't sure when it ill become available, I ordered Bright White instead.
If you do a lot of off roading...the skid plates are great...if not why bother...

The word is...no. The 75th Anniversary package is the current special edition outside of the High Altitude.

Great! Thanks Milous for the update!.... my dad just bought a new Cherokee and I am thinking that I will order a 2016 GC Summit Ecodiesel in the luxury brown pearl coat rather than wait for the 2017 model year...

my understanding is that it is the same color as rugged brown that was used back in 2012 for the Overland/Summit model... it looks great from what I have seen of those vehicles...
