Like I said my '14 Summit V8 for sure had different part numbers on the actual air suspension components compared to my '15 HA V6, but to confirm I think we need to compare same year and engine. I can supply numbers for a '15 HA V6, can anyone peek in their wheel wells of a '15 Summit or Overland V6 to compare to mine HA? I'll try and get numbers here shortly.

Here is a picture of the front shock assembly label. Numbers are identical for both front left and front right. You can just look in and see this label through the wheel, or above the tire if your not in entry/exit height on the air assembly.
2015 HA V6 12/15 mfr date.

That label doesn't denote the external Chrysler part number. It's an internal one with the supplier and it won't match the order parts catalog. It's generally used internally to differentiate between different suppliers of the same part.

MILOUS - *** I just came to the realization that - IS THIS TRUE? - the end order date is MAY 6th ? UGH, Does that mean I have only till then to get into my dealer & order my 2016 Laredo 75th Anniversary Edition Grand Cherokee ? ***
I say so because, the pg.1 intro to your thread here (last updated Dec. 2nd, 2015) says this !

I don't understand how these things with wrong parts happens I always thought part allotments and all were very precise and tracked by computers? Wrong emblems on the tail gate, there were a group of Summits that had the whole wrong center stacks inside with the missing buttons, mine had two different model and color speakers on each side. Maybe its a lot more turmoil, people running around allover looking for things and shit flying everywhere? I wonder if this happens on things we don't see like correct alternator size or correct axle size?

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I posted a picture here when the High Altitude first came out and I shit you not, it was a High Altitude with gloss black Jeep liftgate emblem, chrome 4x4 and chrome Limited emblem LOL. I would have to do some serious digging around to find the picture, but it sure was funny to see a High Altitude Overland Limited lol. It's like the arm rest issue some of us are going through on our High Altitudes right now...clearly the wrong part.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I've had my Summit for about 1 1/2 years. Just several weeks ago my front passenger door was open and the sun was shining directly on the seat. I have the saddle interior with the black trim. I noticed that the small plastic insert where the seat belt goes through the seat trim was brown instead of black. Never realized it before. Of course my dealer had it replaced, but it makes you wonder what screw ups are in our vehicles that aren't visible to us.

That's no joke! Exactly what I was thinking. My main thing is that if I'm in an accident, hopefully everything performs correctly and doesn't just snap.. Like the seat back or something crazy.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

After comparing the 15 GC Summit to the 16, I discovered that what I found to be some of the most important changes are not mentioned in this thread? In case anyone has been in their bunker for the last couple of years....."weight reduction" has become all the latest news! The 16 GC has lost nearly 200lbs. without sacrificing quality and actually using higher quality components! New for 16, the front steering control arms, steering knuckles and joints are all aluminum. The front anti- sway bar is now hollow instead of solid. The new wheel and tire combination is also lighter, while including the new "high end" Pirellis. The new power steering is electric and also adjustable. 200lbs. is equivalent to hauling an extra man around all of the time! With aerodynamic and powertrain gains in efficiency reaching maximum gain without major investment, weight reduction has become the most economical way to increase efficiency and thereby also having a positive effect on performance. I like looking underneath my new Summit at all that pretty rust - free aluminum.

^^Those things are in this thread... And the tire/wheel combo is the same so you're not saving any weight there.
