Yah, you'll hear it gurgle every time.

I can only imagine what this would be like for someone living in a metro area that really has to deal with stop and go traffic.

Now, if FCA is making the start/stop a feature that can be turned off once and forgotten about, then fine. If you have to do this every time because the default is always on when you start the vehicle, then it just adds to the PITA of the preflight checklist you have to go through to turn other stuff on/off based on your personal liking. I guess that's still better than having no ability to turn it off at all.
I'd imagine that it would become second nature rather quickly. It doesn't take much to turn it off. It's not like you have to go in the EVIC or the radio to turn it on and off.

An off switch with memory is something i would hope they have.
I don't know how much any mileage gains are gonna be.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Anyone know what is an average selling price of the overland package when first released? Would 43-45k be doable when the 2016's come out? (New England here)

Also, I emailed FCA and knew what there answer would be but I tried anyway. They said they have no idea about CarPlay being integrated into any of there 2016 models nor have any previous information regarding every saying they will ever include it

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

SW, I suspect you can use current MY15 pricing to estimate MY16 pricing...there's not typically a "huge" difference in subsequent model years, albeit there may be a small incremental bump. Jeep seems to do price increases in smaller increments and spreads them over time. I doubt that selling behavior will change, either, so you can probably safely estimate what to expect based on current selling prices relative to invoice.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I'm seeing a lot of Overlands for about 41k And a lot of summits for around 46k. Knock off a few extra thousand to get the sales and these seem like great deals. The only thing thing holding back from a 15' is lack of Siri hands free that apparently the 16's will have according to Uconnect in there latest press release.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Speaking of the 15 models what are any of guys getting for MPG? My 06 Durango gets about 12 lol

I would gather the the 15 GC I should be able to pull down 18-19 on average. And the 16 GC supposedly has 25% better fuel economy??

Don't forget that the powertrain warranty on these pups ratchets DOWN to 5yr/60k for MY16. Diesels keep 5/100 tho.

A new PUG with a 60k warranty means the Mopar/MVP Extended Service plan makes even more sense for long-term owners.

Will wait to see what the next generation QX70 (f.k.a FX35) looks like before making my decision.
