Agreed, LSD is far more day-to-day useful than a 2-speed transfer case.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I suspect that the challenge to the manufacturer is that the vast majority of JGC buyers, especially for the V6 are not interested in "off road" performance nor willing to pay for the added cost (and weight) for adding the LSD. Most buyers are street drivers who would react to "ELSD" with "WTF?"...

But those folks don't order ORA-II either, do they? And the ones that do are probably as interested in ELSD as the Hemi and diesel buyers.

LSD benefits them too. It is one more wheel providing traction, not only off-road, but in snow and ice and muddy dirt roads and really should be more readily available. I'd at least offer it in the Limited's Off-Road Adventure I option package on up.
Again, more day-to-day useful than a 2-speed transfer case.

No question, it's a great feature that provides good things to many different driving situations. There may very well be engineering reasons it's not available for the V6 as well as marketing factors. I'm just speculating...

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I'm curious about the Recon Green Pearl, hopefully available on the Overland trim level.
Green can be a hit or miss colour.

I wonder if Recon Green will be the 75th Anniversary edition color? Like Bronze Star was the 70th Anniversary color.

Something like this color might be nice: Get Where You Need to Go | Filson
