Will the 2016 Durango specs be announced at the same time?

Oh and is there any more news on the light refresh? Is it more that they'll get a different look? Or different technology? Like full LED light headlights (probably not) or at least LED back lights.

On my Lincoln, 'nosing in' under auto-park is not an option - and I'd guess for a simple reason:

Before the vehicle can auto-park itself, it needs to know the gap/size of the empty spot between the other two cars you want to park. Therefore - once you activated the system - you first have to drive by the entire space so that the system can calculate the right angles and make sure the spot is big enough.

So initially, you activate the feature, turn on the indicator according to the side you want to park and once a matching spot is found, let's you auto-park.

Parallel parking is generally a "back-in" process...if you try it the other way during a driver license test, you'll fail. And this feature is a back-in parking maneuver.

I meant perpendicular parking; it'll do that too.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Did any of you move from an 8 cyclinder in your last vehicle to GC with the 8 speed?

I have a 2006 Durango with the 5.7 but it doesn't have the 8 speed obviously. But from looking at the 1/4 mile times compared to a 2015 GC 6cyl the GC beats it out just barely.

But what about just everyday driving around, will it have just as much get up and go because of the tranny?

I went from a 2012 GC Hemi to a 2014 GC Hemi to a 2015 GC V6 Pentastar. And in between I have had several cars. I see no issue going to the V6, i just went on a 2k mi road trip, did tons of passing. The 8 speed really makes it feel faster than it probably is but I sure do miss the Hemi. The Hemi is just plain and simple a sleeper. Especially with those 8 gears!

---> "a sleeper"???????

Guess I am not following, you miss the Hemi but think it is a sleeper? Contradictory. Please clarify... thanks.

You are misunderstanding the term "sleeper". It's not a negative thing. It means it has the same amount of power as an Explorer Sport without looking like a 'sport' vehicle. It's a compliment.
