Sorry for the unintended slight man.
When I read it, it came across differently. Now that you explain it, it makes sense as to what your point was. No need for the apology but it's appreciated.

It's all good...omission of pwr fold mirrors on SRT makes as much sense as blacking out Altitudes/HA's EXCEPT the window trim, really? If they would only listen to us forum pros, right?

One can hope that they are listening. It makes no sense how they come up with some of these sale strategies. I was initially going to get a HA, but after the updates that I was going to make to it, the SRT makes more sense.

Overland 4x4 has always had tow package standard.
Overland 4x2 has not had tow package standard.

I have a 14 Overland 4X4... trailer tow group 4 is listed under optional equipment on both my window sticker and build sheet.

Actually, it appears their statement is likely technically correct. All will get "US" eight speeds. Due to US client volume needs ZF built a trans plant in Gray Court, SC and it looks like they are now sourcing the 8HP70 from this US ZF plant for MY15+ and not the German plant. Not sure if MY15 was a transition year and some are German ZF and some US ZF or if all are US ZF but the ones I checked are all US ZF. Keep in mind they are all ZF designed and produced, unlike the 6 cyl trans, 845RE (a Chrysler modified ZF 8HP45). All 845RE are made by Chrysler (under license from ZF) in Kokomo. IN.

I think this is accurate but I welcome better facts...

That doesn't mean it was actual an Option. It was standard, meaning you cannot buy a 4x4 Overland without Tow group 4.

I wouldn't know but if it shows up under the option column then I take the meaning literally. If it is standard on the 4x4 Overland than why not call it standard equipment?

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

My 2014 Overland 4x4 has the tow package I believe and no options were listed. As for 2016 I have a feeling these sheets are a guide but not final. Though FCA could be making it optional to save on weight and cost for all models.

I don't know. You'd have to ask Chrysler that one. Maybe it's because 4x4 is an option? Maybe it's just an error on the window sticker?

This is helpful, from Milous on wk2jeeps that he linked in this thread, comparison between trim levels of standard and optional features: http://wk2jeeps.com/2016/2016_wk2_fe...ailability.pdf

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Found these. Not sure if its the 2016s like the videos say as they look just like the 2014-15s. No interior footage on either of them. I am starting to suspect that the "light refresh" is a reference to interior updates and the suspension updates. Outside will probably remain unchanged.
