I have no pricing information but feel confident saying that dealer is using complete fabrications to scare you as you sati you feel. FCA has to stay price competitive with others and I see no way does the base engine add 3-4k from 2015 to 2016.

If you feel you are being pressured by any salesperson, you should step back and take a deep breath. You have the money and they want it. The only way you should ever feel pressured to give it to them is if they put a gun to your head. If you think you can be pressured any other way, you should let somebody you trust hold on to your money.

Your dealer's salesman is smoking ditch weed.

I have no doubt there'll be price increases but they'd have a hard time justifying one as large as $3-4K, even with a complete model redesign.

It appears my Summit rims will become available on the Overland. With the available radio upgrade on the Overland, this move essentially makes the Summit no more than an exterior bumper and chrome upgrade.

'Grizz, I agree with the others...that salesperson is working you in a nasty way. Run, don't walk, away. There are better places to buy where the dealers are honest and don't make stuff up to try and get a sale. Will there be some price increases over time? Absolutely. But they are typically a hundred or three, not thousands.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I think the white stitching on the black leather Overland interior looks good. Not sure why the change to copper stitching in 2016 is being done. Or am I in the minority on my opinion on the white stitching on the black interior looking great?

My guess is because it is going to go with the plastic copper trim accents already in the Grand Cherokee.

I have that on mine. I don't really mind it but i think the copper would look better.

LOL!!!!!!

I know exactly what's going on here.

It's the end of the month. They haven't sold all of the vehicles they need to in order to get the bonus from Chrysler. So he's pressuring you to buy one, off his lot, NOW, so they won't lose any money this month.

Tell him to kick rocks. At least he could be honest.

I totally agree with Marlon_JB2......AND if you are interested in a 2015 though, you may be able to use that to your advantage to get one heck of a deal on a 2015, they sound a tad desperate.

Good to see you Marlon_JB2 active and posting!

The question I have for you is do you want to buy a new '15 or '16? If you prefer to wait, then wait. Don't listen to the BS sales tactics. They want to sell today, not some time in the future.

When it comes time to buy, price the vehicle against online prices from larger cities. Some dealerships are happy to sell in volume at a large no hassle discount while small town dealerships typically fight tooth and nail on the price because they sell in very low volume. The number of cars on the lot tells a big part of that story. Helena MT = 8 grand cherokees on the lot. Gilroy CA = 75 on the lot ( they post online discounts ) Huntington Beach CA = 117 on the lot, Irvine CA = 138 Grand Cherokees on the lot. Not the fault of the small town dealership, but you are buying a commodity that is sold all over the place.

The small town delaerships price like they are the only game in town. The aren't. Internet and Interstates means even if you live in a small town in a less populous state you can still get a good deal. You can still give them your service business.

Paul

^^I have noticed the same exact thing. I live in a town with 12 on the lot. I drove almost a thousand miles in 2012 to buy a new GC from Huntington Beach Jeep.
