High Altitude model coming soon, it will launch next month, and be based on the Overland. It will continue into the 2016 model year .

I was going to upgrade from overland to the summit next year. Now I have another decision to make. A blacked out overland is more tempting than the summit. Just wish it had front parking sensors in the U.S. like it does overseas.

Oooh, that IS good news! I always liked the LOOK of the Altitudes, but was not impressed with the (lack of) amenities.

Guess Ford figures, and they are probably correct, that most people get rid of their vehicle before 100K. Then it's certainly out of warranty and on the owners dime to repair it, so it's of no concern to them.

The white stitching on the dash reflects badly onto the windshield. They have had a lot of complaints about that.

Problem with the Ivory Tri Coat is that if you ever need to get a part repainted, body shops have a very tough time, if not impossible, trying to match the paint. The basic white would still be the best.

The problem isn't the color, it's too many incompetent body shops. A good painter will do a number of test panels, not to get the color correct, that's easy, but to get the correct application angle. It's about how light will reflect off the panel.

When I was working in insurance claims I saw repairs that you couldn't detect and others that would make a grown man cry.

I wouldn't let poor body shops determine the color I choose. I had the tri-coat white on my MDX, have it on my current Ford, and if it looks good, will have it on my '16 Summit.

But, to each their own.

I have the white diamond pearl tri-coat on my Accord, and I can attest to that.

Had to have the front bumper cover replaced due to getting a tire carcass flung into it. The bodyshop I took it to is far from incompetent. The front and rear covers never matched the rest of the vehicle to begin with. I had to have both repainted just to keep it "two-tone" instead of making it three.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Or Maybe a "High Altitude"... I'm still in the waiting games for the 75th anniversary models. I think it would be special to own one the of anniversary models. I can wait.... I can wait....
