You have this confused with ordering a Porsche Cayenne. Everything is ala carte.
I tried to match the option list of a Cayenne and a GC. The Cayenne was 70K + and growing with that was a V6.

That price increase is a joke! almost $60k for a fully loaded Summit? Wow. Kind of a slap in the face

So it will be lower than MSRP.

Yes, thnaks. But what I am curious about is the willingness of Jeep dealers to negotiate off of MSRP early in a new model year, and what kind of % off is generally expected?

Have u seen what Cadillac and Porsche have done with their pricing? Holy lord, talking about arbitrary. At least the JGC pricing is just normal creep. Still the best value prop all things considered, IMHO.

I was knid of curious where the increase points where so went back and looked at my sticker from my 2014 summit.

2014 4x4 summit -------> 2016 summit 4x4 -> Increase
Base $50,995 -----------> $52,595 ---------> +$1600 base
V8 $2,695 ---------------> $3,795 ----------> +$1100 v8
CD $195 --------------- -> $445 ------------> +$250 CD
Freight $995 ------------> $995 -------------> +$0 Freight

Total $54,880 ---------> $57, 830 --------> +$2,950 Total Increase
Sticker

So about a 3% increase on base is not too bad but where they are hitting it are the options, 40% increase on v8 engine option and 130% on CD player. Also this is just a difference from my MY14 to current advertised MY16 I'm sure there were changes through MY15 also.

A fully loaded MY 2016 summit with diesel and bluray stickers in at $62,465

It really depends a lot on your dealer and timing. I was one of the very early takers on the my2014 refresh when they came out which were big changes and I paid 7% under invoice from a group buy which at the time when they were first rolling off the line was an excellent price considering there were $0 factory incentives at the time. the MY16s have mostly minor changes the v6 upgrade is probably the biggest change. You should be able to deal on those, any dealer that wants MSRP I would walk and find another dealer. Don't expect 7% under invoice as a given right off the bat but a few percent under invoice should be doable and probably go down from there as the year goes on. Do your negotiating talking invoice price not MSRP. if your looking at the v6 not sure id want to be a first taker on that v6 upgrade stop/start thing, let them shake that out for a little while first. I don't have a very good feeling about that new stop/start thing coupled with that 845RE trans people are still reporting issues on.

Go for the Sienna Brown, you won't be sorry. Looks luxurious. Had that (similar color) in my 2011 Summit and really liked it. Went with brown in my 2014 Summit and like that too. So if you want an upscale look go for the Sienna Brown versus the all black... just my opinion.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Out the door pricing has many factors, including geography, competition and dealer volume. Practically "anybody" can get 1% below invoice using an affiliate code (available through employer relationships as well as by membership in certain organizations) and many folks can negotiate beyond that. TrueCar can also be helpful in some areas. "When" you buy also affects things...the end of the month and the end of the quarter are generally best because dealers are seeking to meet or exceed certain quotas that provide significant profit. In fact, many will give up making any profit on the actual sale to gain a larger profit from the volume incentives. It's a game...

Dealers know their run rate for business (volume) and every JGC that comes off the assembly line is sold; either to an end-customer via special order or to a dealer based on their own needs and business plan. Some folks find it easier to negotiate a better price on a factory order than they do with something already arriving.

Have you tried the match with an F-Pace Jaguar?

Yeah, that's where I looked (and was sure I had seen it there before), but I still can't find it there. But, mind you, I also can't find the mayonnaise in the refrigerator until my wife shows me it's right there in front on the top shelf ...
