Also take a look at the price of a BMW X5. With equipment comparable to GC you're pushing 70K. Industry sales have been excellent, so now all the manufactures want to take us to the cleaners.

Take another look at the X5. Mine was 65k and I am missing a lot of options that the JGC has. Of course I am paying for the experience and a balls massage every time I visit the dealer for service. You have to spend more than 70k to get a equivalent of a V8 summit in the BMW land.

Yeah but the X5 35 probably does the same 0-60 as the Hemi GC and its gets about the same MPG as the EcoDiesel. The real downside is that the X5 can't tow and I'm not about to have a tow pkg "installed." I don't think that's safe or efficient.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I've looked at the Bimmer, Porsche and the Merc. I like the 3 row Merc a lot!!! I've also looked at the Audi, Acura and drove a sweet Mazda. I OWN the Jeep for many reasons, not only the fact that my pockets aren't that deep, I'm also practical to a fault. I'm very impressed, you could even say infatuated. Just wish the color and feature options were more to my liking and within my means. There was a time before the bean counters came along and ruined everything you could order a one off. I know it keeps the prices down.

Did I mention I REALLY like the Merc??? The AMG GL63 SUV???? If I started a go fund me page how do you think I'd fare?

The increases aren't limited to the GC. I used the Pa Lemon Law on my '14 Ram. The sticker on that truck built in late 3/14 was 41,370. Same truck now is 46,100, about 12%. They added about 500 in standard equipment to the Big Horn package, the rest is pure price increase. It's ridiculous!
The new Ram I ordered a few weeks ago with adding the Hemi and a few other options I didn't have, is about 8,500 more than my '14.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

The only other SUV/SAV I can think of right now where pricing is not as crazy as BMW/Merc is the Volvo XC90.

Actually you only got one part right. It's very similar to 0-60 as the Hemi. MPG is horrible at least for me 15mpg in the city, the X5 can tow and if I remember correctly it's 6000 pounds but I can get those numbers later. Yes, you need to have a tow package installed, it's called invisihitch but it's worth it if you need it, factory hitch is twice the price and half the towing capacity if I remember correctly. Bottom line for utility get the Jeep.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Hello everyone,

Now that order banks are open, does anyone have any photos (Exterior & interior) or know when they are set to be released.

Also, Is the Argentina Leather color going to be an option on the summit?

Lastly, Does anyone have a photo representation of the recon green or know if it will be available on the summit?

Sincerely,
A VERY impatient Jeep owner!

I'd like to see that Recon Green as well...I'm bummed not seeing the Black Forest Green anymore. Any other FCA cars on the road now with it? Also any out there today with that Velvet Red?
