BTW, I'm using 320 Kbps on all of these files without any problem.

I have tried all kinds of file types, mp3, mp4, wma, wav, et al and it won't play over 192kbps. It also freezes when I use a larger drive, continually searching (browsing) files. I organized them by artist, then by album just as they are organized on my computer. They play fine on smaller 16Gb drives (still 192kbps). I've tried just saving one song over 192kbps on a drive to see if it would play, nota.

The dealer has twice addressed this. The 32 Gb drive plays until the unit is switched to another source then freezes browsing the files. With your info I may be able to get them to replace the unit. Thanks!

I organized them the same way (Artist->Album->Song).

Well, maybe they changed some soft- or hardware between the two MYs (from 14 to 15).

I can't believe that in this day and age they are charging 450 bucks for a what should be standard on everything backup camera for the Laredo E. You can't even get it on the base Laredo.

I saw the same thing preliminary a few months ago-the only way to get a limited with the previous off-road I package, is to buy a limited without it and add it yourself-essentially adding on skid plates and tow hooks.

For the people that saw the 2016 Diesel JGC at the LA Auto Show, any word on if they've added the skid plate to the DEF injector, or should I plan on getting the EcoDieselFix solution?

Dealer told me that the ELRD is not available on any model unless you get the hemi or diesel. Is that true?

ELSD is standard on V8/Diesel Summit 4x4 and an option on V8/Diesel Overland 4x4. Its not available on High Altitude and not available on any V6.

Hmm. I actually thought you couldn't get it on the Summit as it was part or ORA-II (not available on the Summit). I am, of course, unsure of this.

Yes ELSD(Quadra Drive II) is standard issue on all V8/Diesel 4x4 Summits for 2014-2016. For Overland V8/Diesel 4x4 it is optional on non-ORAII and standard on ORAII. It is not available at all on HA or any v6 Summit or Overland they get Quadra Trac II. Just changed the rear differential fluid on my Summit and it took the oil with friction modifier for the ELSD.

Actually it is better when they give people a choice. They could add $450 to the base price and say it's included. Then people who don't want it have to pay $450 for something they don't want.

If you want it, pay for it and if you don't you get to save $450.

There are always threads that somebody feels that what they want should be included, whether it be an upgraded radio, or better wheels, or some other option. All they are really saying is they want something for nothing, and that's unAmerican.

I think it very American to want all to have what's now a basic safety feature, I'm not calling for fancy wheels and navigation. Think I can order a Limited sans backup camera to save the $450?

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I believe there originally was the intent for all newly manufactured vehicles to have backup cameras effective back in 2011, but somehow that got delayed to 2014 and delayed again. The new date is 1 May 2018 for full compliance from the NHTSA.
