Thank you for the info.

And Bill, I meant no offence by anything.

No offense taken. We may look at things differently, but that just keeps things from getting boring.

Mercedes and BMW are still getting away with charging extra for a backup camera. Their almost as bad as Porsche, who is known for nickel and diming you to death.

Form what I have seen BMW is terrible about the nickel and dime stuff also. That's what was nice about us buying the summits Bob, pick the color, pick the engine and pick 4x4 or 4x2 and that's it you are done lol.

Can confirm this as true, however you can customize the hell out the car and really personalize it the way you want to or just leave it barebones. Summit is really a very convenient package, just choose the color and be done with it.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I think somewhere in the middle would work best, al a cart with a little mark-up, or set packages with some savings. The mopar sight has some nice additions that would be nice to get...

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I like rocking the shifter back to get into sport mode in my 2014 when i need instant throttle response to maneuver in traffic. Looking down to find a sport button is a move in the wrong direction IMO.

BTW, I'm using 320 Kbps on all of these files without any problem.
Will it play flac files?

Yes, you're right. I didn't see the extra "Interior" tab (and they finally added the audio upgrade option for Limited on that page).
Thanks.
BTW, from google to Jeep site, still don't see 2016 GC choice yet... ? Just from the link above.
hmmm, no more Laredo based Altitude I guess. and what exactly is Laredo E? (sorry, these answers probably already posted somewhere).

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Hi all,

Seemed like I read that the 2016's are 2 inches wider but now I can't find it.

Can anyone confirm that?

Also how does anyone feel about that, pro's con's....

Talked to Koons briefly today. He didn't know much about the new models. Or at least didnt let on as there are still some in the pipeline from 2015.

My dealer flashed an update for my Uconnect today. I'm playing windows lossless files. What a HUGE difference in this system. Finally no more cringing. Heck, I'd bet a whole lot of the complaining would go away with the Alpine units if everyone tried better source material. The bass is still lacking and garbled but man what an improvement.

I also am able to use that 32Gb flash too. Now I'm going to need another one or maybe I'll just get a big SD Flash card. Funny thing is I am in the process of re- ripping a lot of my cd's to lossless. I set up a system in my bedroom and just purchased a good dac and JRiver to be able to play WASAPI files.
