Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

GCO', I believe they've merely changed the name of the interior color rather than changed the color a lot...and yea, they up-charge for it. As much as I haven't hated the interior I have too much, I truly hope that something in ivory or beige is available on the Summit by the time I'm ready to buy the next one! Pretty much every other "lux" vehicle has that available...

Thanks for your input, Jim!

I also like my current dark brown interior but since my next GC is probably going to be black again, an ivory or beige interior would be great.

On the 2016 configurator, they didn't even change the name and that's why I was curious if what we see is what we get. It's also a bit strange to advertise a 'new' color when in fact, it was offered on the previous MY.

If I recall correctly, the press announcement said that 'Returning for 2016 is the Argentina Tan interior with black-accent stitching.' So basically returning from a week earlier?

BTW, is there already a complete price-list out there that confirmed the $495 upcharge? I'm asking because all sources on this website say the tan would be standard (that's what it says on wk2jeeps.com as well)?

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Shouldn't the Wrangler be the one that is celebrating a 75th anniversary, instead of the GC?

True, but does any other model besides the GC have an anniversary edition? If they do, I missed them. It seems they are focusing the attention on the horse that can't seem to leave the starting gate instead of the one that comes closest to the 75 year old model.

Does it really matter? Who really cares? Maybe the slap some fancy stickers on or a chrome plate somewhere. I fail to see what the big deal is.

From reading those details about the 75th anniversary model, it sounds like it's describing the "2017" spy shots that we saw a few weeks back from auto blog.
