Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Anybody been able to order a 2016 with exactly what they want? I tried at my local dealer but they said they can't select the options and are only getting what they're sent.

Thanks.
BTW, from google to Jeep site, still don't see 2016 GC choice yet... ? Just from the link above.
hmmm, no more Laredo based Altitude I guess. and what exactly is Laredo E? (sorry, these answers probably already posted somewhere).

There's no way they won't release an altitude model for the 2016s, it's one of there best selling editions and there offering it for every other jeep model for 2016...my opinion is that it'll be released sometime in April-May when they released the 2014 altitude

To-date, there is no evidence that the Laredo-based Altitude will continue for MY16 for JGC. The big push appears to be for the Overland-based High Altitude (also being very successful) and 75th Anniversary edition. The former is leveraging many of the things that many folks wanted but couldn't get with the more base Altitude with a higher margin for Jeep. That doesn't mean they couldn't bring the base Altitude back, but if they do, I'd guess it would be for MY17 which starts production June/July. IMHO, of course...

Looks like that just happened today. Fortunately they mention that there is a kill button on the dash for the ESS on the 3.6L engine models. Also they mention A/T tires as standard.

In the past they called the Michelin all season an A/T, even with off road II. Hopefully they will have a little more integrity this year.

While these are better than the tires that came on the 2015 and earlier models, this particular size of the tire is not available in the Pro Grade (i.e. rated for Severe Snow) designation.
