2016 High Altitude seats different?

Hi,
First post here. Have been lurking. Info here has helped me immensely in deciding to purchase a GC.

Anyway, I'm looking at a 16 Granite Crystal High Altitude. I've driven an Overland and a Summit but can't locate a High Altitude to drive. Dealer has told me that front seats on the HA are exactly like the Overland in size and configuration. I'm a big guy and like the seats in the Overland but have also heard that the HA seats are actually narrower than the other trims??

Can anyone shed any info on that?
Thanks!!

Doug

Nope, they're exactly the same as the Overland and Summit... And Limited and Laredo. Only the SRT has a slightly differently bolstered seat.

Re: 2016 High Altitude seats different?

The impression I have going from a 14 Overland to a 16 HA is that the seats are a little different. The leather seems different... the Overland's felt more substantial. The seat bottom thigh bolsters don't seem to be as high on the HA... both in look and feel.

Other than that the HA seats seem to be just as comfortable.

Same leather, same seats, HA = Overland. I've had both.

Well the seat heaters are not the same. They don't heat for crap on the high altitude. At least on the 15s that is...

Re: 2016 High Altitude seats different?

I haven't checked too precisely but the Overland has the Overland embroidered logo on the seat backs. The HA has no embroidered logo and the description refers to Nappa leather. I would have to compare them side by side to try to determine how similar, identical or different. Either way, you are going to love your new High Altitude. This forum will give you the itch to add oh so many minor mods that will make it stand out from the crowd even more than it already does.

The seats are exactly the same. These responses are cracking me up. Yeah, obviously they don't have the Overland logo, neither does the rear hatch lol

I was serious in my reply. The "style" is the same but they are different from my 14 Overland. And I wasn't talking about the missing embroidery.

But the shape and dimensions of the seat are exactly the same.

I think he's right, that the seats are a bit different in the 2016 models. Not shape of the seats but the feel of the leather.

I drive a 2014 overland, and went to the dealer last week to see some 2016's. I sat in the High Altitudes, and the leather just felt...softer...? and more matte... or something. Maybe it's because mine are more worn in, but I definitely felt like the new ones were slightly different.
