Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee 75th Anniversary Edition

Those pictures were in the OP's link on autoblog. Yes, it shows the facelifted front end. Comparing them to the camo'd spy photos posted a few months ago, this appears to be the same front end. I doubt Jeep is going to change things yet again for 2017 (although they did a single-year revamp in 2004 for some reason...)

Do my eyes deceive me or did they get rid of the chrome trim around the windows??

The 75th Anniversary editions have body color door handles, exterior mirrors and fascia rather than the chrome.

Pics in the OP's link from Autoblog were posted 6 days ago and are of the same Jeep in the NAIAS pics.

A no, you're wrong. The real photos of the black 75th Edition Grand Cherokee were only first seen today, even the link in the original post says from 4 hours ago for these new pics.

I would be highly surprised. I'll leave it up to you to prove which year it is. It matters not to me.

Edit to add...

On the other hand you may be right since the redesign isn't coming until MY19.

According to the specs on the first page the window trim is black. I can see a lot of current owners lining up to buy them to replace the chrome trim.

LOL Jim... was that a pre-production prototype?

My parents had a 98 that looks exactly like the one I posted. They bought it new and sold just last year for a new JKU Sahara. I put many miles on that Jeep.
