I was in on the 10th... Not available. Read this and went back in to dealer on the 11th and had them try again even though they didn't think it would be and sure enough it was there. For some reason the Advanced Tech Group was "grayed out" and wanted to get it all so did not order it on the spot. Wanted a JGC Limited 5.7, Off-road II, Lux Group with the Advanced Tech in Recon Green but no go. Asked them to Keep trying and Order as soon as they got it configured but gave up and asked them to order it without the Adv tech group and see if they could modify after order... No luck to date.

The jeep.com build does let me configure all the options but the dealer could not order it that way

Does anyone know of any incompatibility with these selections? I can do without the Adv Tech Group but it would have been nice to have

In any case it seems to be scheduled for build next week and I should be able to post photos of the Recon Green soon! (After I play with it for a while )

Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee 75th Anniversary Edition

If the 2014 would have had the 75th anniversary bumper that properly wraps the headlight housing I would have already bought two new jeeps. I think they finally nailed it. So happy they got rid of that stupid cartoon smile front end, added matching LED fogs and subdued that riced out chrome look. Bravo to this group of designers. Though if they are the same ones that went with the round block in a square hole 2014 bumper they should get kicked in the nuts.

The thing that kinda such while at the same time is intriguing is the window of availability. I think most people will wait for the 2017 and hope they don't use a clothes hanger to give this new squared up masculine look an abortion.

Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee 75th Anniversary Edition

Does anyone know why the off road 2pkg is only offered with the 18" rims?

Because offroading with 20 inch rims is not ideal. There's no point having all the other offroad goodies if the wheels can't handle it.

And you'll get neither model with ORAII and 20 inch wheels. ORAII changes wheel size to 18 inch so you have more sidewall height to soak up the "real" off-roading the package was intended for.

So your saying there's no overland or summit with 20@rims and air suspension?

Not sure why they would say you can't have 20" rims and air suspension in a summit. I have a 2014 with both air suspension and 20" rims so it does give off road height.

Air suspension has nothing to do with ORAII. 18" wheels makes up the ORAII, along with the bash plates.

It's like asking if you can have an SRT with a 3.0 CRD motor.

They put air suspension on Summit so you can lower it. Making it easier for loading your bags of money into it .

To be sure that there is clarity, the ORA-II package contents vary by trim level.

ORA-II is NOT available on Summit, but Summit has QL standard. (and for current model years, you can add skid plates on Summit from the factory, but not tow hooks and not 18" wheels) 20" rims are standard on Summit.

Overland can be equipped with ORA-II and Overland 4x4 already has QL, too. ORA-II on Overland, among other things, adds 18" wheels and AT tires for MY16, skids and tow hooks.

Limited can be equipped with ORA-II and it adds QL since QL isn't standard on that trim level. ORA-II provides for 18" wheels with AT tires for MY16, skids and tow hooks, among other things.

You can see exactly what's included in the ORA-II option package for each trim level that it's available on at the wk2jeeps.com site in the pricing and options link.

Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee 75th Anniversary Edition

Ok let me be more clear...why can't I get the air suspension with 20" rims on the 75th anniversary model? Whether that means off road 1 or 2 or whatever...I want the air suspension feature like the overland and summit with 20"rims

The 75th GC Limited comes standard with 20 inch wheels.

If you want the QL suspension then you have to order the ORAII package.

If you order the ORAII package then the 20 inch wheels are replaced by 18 inch wheels (which is true for any GC model this option is available on).

That's the way they decided to package this on the 75th GC Limited.
