Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee REFRESH

I've sampled the Start/Stop in a BMW 120d back in 2007, and again in a 116i in 2008, while going to see the 24h of Le Mans in France. It works flawlessly, and does save you fuel when you are at a stop. As soon as your foot lifts off the brake pedal, the engine starts up again, and you can drive off. There is no lag. Same thing if you lift your foot off the clutch. As for the A/C, I needn't worry as it still worked just fine unless of course you have to wait for a mile long freight train to go by...
So unless you brake with your left foot, the system will be faster than your reaction time (moving your right foot off the brake pedal to the accelerator).

Does anyone have any photos, concepts, illustrations, etc of what the changes are to the 2016 GC?

No...they would have been posted already if they were available to Milous. Jeep has been keeping any new details close to the vest to-date.

The major magazines are full of news on 2016 models, but nothing on GC yet... ?

Well, the magazine cycle is close to 2 months prior to cover date, so it's not surprising there may be omissions.

Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee REFRESH

MY16 is also a "late" introduction for JGC as compared to most other vehicles due to the minor refresh and 75th anniversary. Hence, nothing for the press yet.

Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee REFRESH

Any thoughts on when we might start to hear more? I'm looking to replace my 2011 Overland (86k miles) with a 15 or 16 Overland Diesel. I'd like to see what the 16 looks like before making a decision.

I hope FCA did an SRT trim(without the motor).

I'm sure it would increase sales for them.

Audi and Mercedes do this with the
S-line.

I love the sporty look but I don't all that power.

Actually I do want the power but ...

That's like hanging a fake Picasso in your living room.

The SRT is something special, and mass produced wannabes would diminish it.
