I never thought I'd really need or want a backup camera. Now that I've had one on my Jeep I'm wishing all my vehicles had them, especially my pickup. It makes hooking up a trailer so easy. Now I'm wanting a camera for the front. Any chance we'll be seeing one of those in the future?

Grizz', you can get the backup camera as "an option to the Altitude option" on the Laredo.

Well 360 camera or however it was worded WAS on the wk2jeeps 2016 changes info but looks like 2016-2019 JGC model/features are in flux as they say as evidenced by the new PUG upgrade making it into 2016 and the all new JGC pushed to MY19....just like the weather in Cleveland, don't like it? Wait a day!

Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee REFRESH

I just read this on Worldcarfans -

Chrysler trademarked the Trackhawk moniker last fall and it appears it will indeed be used on a high-performance version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
According to Car & Driver's sources, the 2017 Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will essentially be a renamed version of the Grand Cherokee SRT. As a result, the model is expected to be powered by a familiar 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine that produces 475 bhp (354 kW) and 470 lb-ft (637 Nm) of torque. It enables the current model to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds before hitting a top speed of 160 mph (257 km/h).
If that's not powerful enough, the Trackhawk is also expected to be offered with the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that powers the Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat. The engine produces 707 bhp (527 kW) and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque in the aforementioned models but it appears engineers are struggling with coping with that much power in the Grand Cherokee. As a result, they might have to electronically limit the torque output or eschew the four-wheel drive system altogether.

Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee REFRESH

I think we can probably assume that the 2016 WK2 update will add the heated windshield wiper option that the Cherokee already offers.

The WK2 shouldn't lack a luxury feature that the KL offers.

Ouch. Maybe I'll have to get a new Cherokee then instead .

I am a hoping there is some sort of electrical limitation then because otherwise I have no idea why the refresh would not add that feature.

Will there will be new color options or wheels for the 2016 models?

My dealer thought that the new shifter would come off of the new Charger/Challenger

Let's hope so. That would appear to be a big improvement.

Too bad as I often build up a ridge of ice on the lower part of the windshield where the wiper rests. Seems odd not to offer it as I see many Cherokees with the feature.
