Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee REFRESH

I recently went from a 2014 GC to a 2015 Charger RT. The Charger shifter is way better than the Jeep's joystick style shifter, which I never really liked. It operates as a traditional shifter and when in drive, you can move it to the left for manual mode, along with the paddle shifters on the wheel.

My 2014 Ram has the rotary shifter, which I also like. Doesn't have the cool factor like a console shifter but works quite nice.

Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee REFRESH

Everyone complaining about the shifter. What would suck is that you do wait just because of the shifter and then you don't get a shifter at all, just a turny knob like in the 200. 😥

Any word on new paint colors? I remember reading when the new pair shop came online it would have capability for more colors/shades.

Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee REFRESH

It's not the Charger shifter.

It's not the Cherokee/Renegade shifter.

It isn't a knob.

It's not a push button.

But it's really close to one of those.

Can't say I look at the shifter or indicator - just use the various toggles to go direct to drive, park, reverse, etc... I love it personally.

For sure. Jeep wranglers get the constantly revolving color wheel.

The Cherokee shifter looks perfectly acceptable. What's the difference between it and the Charger version?
