100% agreed.

Seriously, it's not like there would be an issue with labels, since you couldn't see them anyway.

I'm always guessing which side changes the source, etc. and which goes to the next track and such. Half the time, I just reach over and and use the radio itself.

If that happens, this will be both my first and last Jeep ever. I will never buy a car with that piece of crap on it.

As someone who actually utilizes the low gears to engine brake in slippery conditions, the knob would be useless to me for trying to accomplish that in any sort of safe manner.

Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee REFRESH

WHERE IS THE CARPLAY SUPPORT ALREADY???

And does anyone believe the 2016 GC mechanical changes will also carry over to the 2016 Durango?

You're kidding right? Have you driven another brand lately? The controls in their proper place at your fingertips are vastly superior to cluttering up the front of the wheel with buttons (and still not getting all the functionality of Chrysler's system). Our Honda is such a pain in the butt, I always have to look down the steering wheel to get my thumb on the correct button. And you can't even change the radio station because the up/down buttons only change to the next preset unless you hold it for a couple seconds. Our company GMC truck is even worse - you can only advance to the NEXT preset, not go back.

Have you tried pressing the voice button and saying volume up or volume down or whatever else you want the radio to do?

One button is all you need to remember.

Nope I'm not kidding one bit. Yeah I've driven every brand lately. 13 Ford Explorer, 13 Tahoe, 14 GS 350, 15 Acadia, 15 mustang. All of which have far superior steer wheel radio controls than the GC.

I can only advance to the next preset in my GC can't go back unless I'm missing a button??

Never been a fan of voice command but just might take it into consideration and give it another shot.

Other brands I've driven have no functionality to change the radio station, they only switch between presets. For FM that's fine most of time I guess, but on XM I'm always flipping around the 10 or so rock stations. Being able to so easily change stations, presets, volume, and source, AND tell the buttons apart by touch is something you just can't do with anything else I've driven. Chrysler's infotainment setup is consistently one of their strongest attributes.
