Some of us REAL Drivers, DO use the Shifter. We like more granular control over our vehicles.

One of the CNBC reporters took a 500+ mile trip in a driverless car a couple of days ago. He said they expected to see a lot of them on the road (highway only) within the next 5 years,

Anyway. After 2 pages of knobs and gear shifters. Have we got any more tidbits on the 2016?

That's soon enough to make me want to hold out on a new Summit and skip MY2015 ONLY if refinements are indeed coming to the 5.7 HEMI. DI and Multi-Air imply major changes to the engine architecture so I'm not sure where the rumored 10% improvements in power and economy are coming from.

I feel like some minor changes are also in the works for the center stack, including an electronic parking brake and a refined infotainment screen.

Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee REFRESH

Major changes to the engine? No thank you! At least not first MY.

Well maybe if you lease it but than again trips to the dealer and being stuck in the middle of nowhere is not something that anybody wants to deal with in a new vehicle even if it is covered by warranty.

Knowing Chrysler's track record with MY2014 I would stay away. I have a stack of recalls sitting on my desk and my dealer will not do them as they claim that they don't have parts.

Whatever the case, I hope it will not be refreshed to look like the Mercedes GLE Coupe. Really ? Are is BMW selling that many X4 / X6 that it was necessary for Mercedes to introduce its own car in the segment ? Soon I suppose we will get something from AUDI akin to the Q5 and Q7 sportbacks.

Brake booster recall - no parts. Restrain module, no parts, vanity mirror wiring problem didn't bother. I've got another one for booster and I believe axle recall is in the works.

I believe that makes it a stack. Again, getting off topic here. Just saying ... I would stay away from those refreshes for at least a year if something major is changing.

This one isn't anticipated to have any body changes outside of some lighting refreshes...it's a similar refresh to MY14. A refresh is aimed more toward mild cosmetic and features. The new "platform" comes a couple years later and that's where you'll likely see "noticeable" body changes.

No way to know that at this point--a bit early...that said, there was a little talk awhile back about the Maserati coming off the same line as the JGC and Durango in Detroit which at that time would likely have meant it was based on the same platform as the JGC. That production idea was shelved at the time, if I am remembering clearly.

I suspect it will be at least a year before we start hearing more substantive information about the "next generation"...

Yeah... if this "Refresh" is arriving in November 2015, it does have to be considered for those planning on buying a MY 2015. That 10% HP increase is what I really want more information about.
