It's no big deal for me. Coming from a 14, it became second nature doing this with the eco button at every start. Now with ESS on my 16 the button pushing just moves one to the left.

My 6 day old Summit had it's go out today. Now it's causing the jeep to shudder when I drive it. Looks like I will be going to the dealer

if you disengage the eco, that setting stays on restart on 2016.

Re: 2016 Owners...how's the stop and start working?

As a Cayenne owner, I have a button that when engaged , keeps the stop start off. One and done, it can be done !
I troll here because when the warranty is up. I've got to sell this crossover , not because of issues . But the Porsche labor cost down the road.
I'm looking toward the MY17 . I'm not sure I can stomach the dealerships though !

It's right up there with automatic seat beats in the 80's.

Well with a little luck you shouldn't have to deal with a dealership. Maybe be there for an hour or two to buy the Jeep and never again except for oil changes if that's what you do for those. And even if you do the dealership horror stories aren't that common. You'll be fine.

Meh... 3 of my GCs have been junk. It's no Toyota. And the dealership experience certainly isn't a Lexus one. But if you like the GC enough like the rest of us and several other thousands of people, then you'll suck it up and chose it anyways.

I will agree, 1 mile per gallon savings is not worth the all the fuss. JMO
I live outside the urban area so the gas saving with it turned on is negligible.

Overlanding , My last SUV was a T4Runner LTD MY98 3rd Gen. I just sold it to a struggling young couple that were happy to have it.. After owning many vehicles , it was by far the the most reliable and dependable . Not much for fancy bells and whistles though.
