Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Milous, thanks very much as always for the terrific and timely info you provide to us here.

I have a couple of questions regarding the new options packages, specifically in my case on a 4x4 Limited:

1. It looks like Off Road II (AWY) on the Limited now comes with the 75th Anniversary 18" wheels (WDD). Presumably they're not the 75th bronze color. What color are they? Polished?

2. Can you substitute the regular 18" polished wheels (WBL) that come with OR-II on the Overland (and used to come with OR-II on the Limited)?

3. I'm a little confused by the new Active Safety Group (AJ1). Most of what's in it is in the Advanced Tech Group (ADG) or Lux II (AHN, which is required with ADG). But AJ1 includes "Full Speed" Fwd Collision Warning Plus (LSU) vs. plain old Fwd Collision Warning Plus (LSR). It also includes the Lane Departure (LAS) and Park Assist (XH5) features that don't seem to be in either Adv Tech or Lux II. So - if you're getting Adv Tech and Lux II, do you still have to add Active Safety to get those additional features, and - bottom line, is the pricing of Active Safety different when you spec Adv Tech?

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

So I wonder if Australia will get Trailhawk as a mainstream model, or will Jeep Australia play silly buggers like they did with the MY12 version?

So now i'm at $62,580.

That's for the v8, dark siena brown and the laguna leather.

Wait, I have to pay for

A. DARK SIENNA BROWN/BLACK INT COLOR (XTN) (MSRP $495 / INV. $441)

and,

C. LAGUNA LEATHER PACKAGE (AZV) (MSRP $4,995 / INV. $4,446)

That can't be right.

Need to find a picture of the interior w/o Laguna, I guess that just means look a picture of the 2016, right?

You guys might find this interesting:

I've worked for BMW for over a decade and plan on retirement next year, so we wanted to buy a nice car for that. While I have been driving BMW's for 20 years, my wife has been driving Jeep for 10. (Our 2007 hemi has 40K miles on it!) She wanted a new Jeep and it was a few thousand less than I could buy a comparably equipped X5, but now.... the X5 is back in the mix.

It appears that the Laguna leather only comes in one color. It does not come in Dark Siena Brown. They only come in Indigo/Sky Gray.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

So they finally offer a lighter color interior for the summit but make it a 4 figure up charge?

Just give us the light frost/beige interior from the overland. Can't imagine that putting that interior into the summit would cost them that much money.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

My 2015 Summit was $57,375, 4x4, Hemi, Sienna/Black interior were my only added options. If I get a 2017 Summit diesel as planned, I estimate it will sticker for about $59,290. I have no interest in DVD or CD, I mean really, this is 2016 who buys CDs or DVDs any more? I will not get the Sienna interior this time, I am not that crazy about it after 2 years and I love chrome, so no Platinum package for me either. I looked at BMW's and Mercedes and you can't get the options that I want for the same money. I would rather have a top of the line Jeep Grand Cherokee than a bottom of the barrel anything else. I have had zero issues with my JGC except I had a ground wire come loose from my battery that took a couple of trips to the dealer to figure out. Now just to wait for the diesel order bank to open!

1. I show the WDD wheels as "bronze low gloss finish", same as the WDE 75th wheels (Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 - 2011-2017 Grand Cherokee wheels and tires)

2. Factory does not allow substitutions.

3. Advanced Tech Group is N/A on the 2017 models, it was inadvertently left on the 2017 pricing page from my 2016 template, and has been deleted.

Is the HK 19 speaker system available on anything other than the summit?

It's option RCA (which, if you're old enough, you might find mildly amusing as I do). $995 on the Overland and (still, strangely enough) $1,995 on the SRT.

Good to know that its at least available on the overland since the HA seems to be unavailable.

Thanks Milous. One more – is the ELSD with the 3.6L only available on the Overland, or also on the Limited?

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

So I went to order a 2017 Trailhawk in Rhino/Bruiser and the dealer is telling me they are having issues submitting the order with that color. They have a call into Chrysler to see what the problem is--Does anyone have any insight? Also, curious about the 20 inch wheels. The standard guide list 18" wheels as standard and then when you add the TH Lux Group it adds 18" wheels
