Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

When I bought my Overland, the stitching reflection in the glass was the first thing I noticed and when I said to myself "oh shit. this is going to get real annoying"

Now I dont even notice it. I havent even thought about it till this moment actually.

Same with the light dash on my Saddle interior...I noticed it at first, but unless I actually "think" about it, I don't notice it at all now. I did paint my EZPass flat black, however, as it lives on the dash near the glass and something small and white like that would be constantly annoying to me!

Same here almost did not buy for that reason, now I don't notice it anymore. Except if I'm wiping dash down, then I think it might be easy to color it with some sort of dye or shoe polish or?

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I have a friend with the stitching and she wants to color it black because she can't stand the reflection. She's had it about a year and loves the vehicle except for that.

Plus with light colors, stains were more of a concern to me. I didn't like the idea of blue on the interior with a brown exterior, so black is what I went with. I wasn't sure if it would be overkill on dark but in the end, pretty happy with it. It does get pretty damn hot inside when parking in the sun however.

I must say, it does look great! Thank you for the picture! Could I talk you out of any others? I'd love to see the whole Jeep. It's been really hard to find pictures of the brown.

Thanks!

Mike

I feel your pain! I ordered it before MY16 production began on that color. The only photos of that color I could find were a few old Dodge trucks and 2012-2013 WK2s. I think mine was in the first run of that color for MY16 because the first ones appeared on other dealer lots right around when mine arrived at my dealer.

I was a little worried it might be too orange or the interior too dark but I'm happy with it and wouldn't change my decision.

You can see some more pics here and shoot me a PM if there are any specific angles you want to see:

Ha, this is exactly what happened to me.

When I first read this thread the other day I dismissed it as I couldn't even remember the stitching pattern on the dash so how bad could it be. Then today, every stop light: eyes go to stare at the stitching. Get in the car: stare at the stitching. Driving down the road: eyes drift to the stitching.

Curses! Well I'm sure a few more days I'll forget about it again. I hope.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

If production does start on July 25, when should the first cars start showing up on dealer lots?
