I was a little worried it might be too orange or the interior too dark but I'm happy with it and wouldn't change my decision.

You can see some more pics here and shoot me a PM if there are any specific angles you want to see:

MY2016 Overland :: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4

Thank you! I love the color, it's beautiful! It looks great in the sun. Not too dark at all, and the black looks good - probably will be my choice, too. Looks like you got every option on yours. The Kevlar tires make the ORA package look a lot tougher now...

Yeah, I've found one Luxury brown RAM locally (a Longhorn and Cattle Brown interior... Beautiful!) but it was a cloudy day and I couldn't see the true color very well (and it was dirty). I think this color is a little different from the Western Brown offered on pre-2016 RAMs and the brown on 2011-2013 WK2s, right? That shade appeared to be a little bit lighter to me, but I think both shades of brown are beautiful.

I am sure most of the brown Grand Cherokees will have lighter interior. I like the combination/contrast that offers, but the frost is just way too light for every day use (for me). Plus with the light carpet... Definitely would be tough. Pictures of Summits I've seen with the saddle look pretty good but they don't give us many choices on an Overland!

Yours looks great and I think that's the route I'll go when I order mine... Thanks again for posting pictures of your new Jeep. Congratulations on the purchase, I hope you love it!

Mike

I asked him point blank here on June 9th:

2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

And he said no confirmation yet then.

Hey Milous I see on the Cherokee part of the forum the 2017 Latitude and up models get standard HID lights any chance the Grand Cherokee goes that route limited and up models. I know the overland and Summit have them standard already.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

So I am seriously considering the 2017 Trailhawk for my next Vehicle, I am not new to Jeeps however I am new to Grand Cherokees. I am leaning towards the Trailhawk mostly for the appearance and improved articulation. My previous jeep was a 10th anniversary Rubicon. Before you ask I traded it in because I had back surgery and wasn't hitting the trails like I wanted.

So... I like to typically fully option my vehicles out, I would like to know if I would be missing much by going with the 2017 Trailhawk over the 2017 Summit (Basically what are the differences in options/standard features)? Thanks in advance for any help, I am trying to get my ducks in a row for the haggling process

While Trailhawk looks like it will have some very nice options/appointments available, it's marketed completely differently and content will reflect that.

Summit is marketed as a luxury street vehicle...and more or less has all the bells and whistles possible. While you can now get skid plates for it on a factory order (they are actually good for some situations that are not "off road" oriented) it's not otherwise setup for that kind of thing. Instead you get more plush, more quiet, more electronics, etc.

Trailhawk is marketed as a more capable JGC for reasonably good off-roading while still being a comfortable ride on the street. It has "its" interior, has the off-road type features including the slightly modified QL suspension, etc. You can option it out to include a lot of what's been available in the Overland, but cannot get some of the Summit specific things in electronics, etc.

If you really intend to get back to your enjoyment of the off-road side, even if it's not as intense as you might have done with the Wrangler type Jeep, the Trailhawk may be the better choice. If you're like me and "off-road" means a muddy parking lot somewhere...the Summit is 'at the Summit". :P

Still no confirmation yet, working on it. IF they bring it out as a running change, it will be not be until 2017Q1 at the earliest.

Any speculation on rebates when the 2017's GC launch? Thinking about ordering a GC Trailhawk in the near future. Anyone recall if rebates existed when the MY 2016 launched, maybe 2017 will follow suit? Thanks.

Would like to piggyback on this thought as well. I'm struggling between leasing a MY16 or waiting for MY17 mainly because of pricing increases on MY17. If the residuals and MF are the same for MY17 as they are on MY16, it may price me out of features that I'd like to have. Does anyone have any insight into what those numbers could possibly be at launch or will that not be made available until they hit the lots?
