THANKS Milous. Once again I am late to the dance, thinking this 2017 thread wouldn't come till after, say, the New York or Geneva Shows ! And so, I have asked You some questions on this very vehicle - TrailHawk - over on Your 2016 thread version ! Now knowing what "reserved" means, I suspect that this will be the response to 1 of the 2 Q's I asked about . . . Could you go over to 2016 and see my (todays) input for You and let me know either Here or their ? Much much obliged !

#18 ·
Yup, just wondering after todays Jeep dealership browsing for a peak at a 75th G.C. Laredo Moroccan Cloth Interior - to compare it to a Regular Black Cloth Interior ! Which hasn't changed in . . . ? . . . who knows how long ?

Any guesses as to whether Jeep will Finally offer a DIFFERENT Style / Fabric / Iteration for the 2017 Laredo's ? Milous, Marlon ? At least the '16 75th Seats are Different - Liking the "blackish," not sure how accurate the 2-tone Tan (?) will be . . . again Why I'd like to see these "in the wild" at a dealer or online via HD YouTube video - not an FCA provided professionally shot photo ! In person would be the best, but still NO G.C. vehicles of any 2016 MY yet in my neighborhood (Spokane). Any other Spokies around to concur ?

2017 Questions....

So reading between the lines I am trying to figure out if this is correct.
1. 2017 is year two of the new v6 engine (good thing IMHO).
2. Adds Carplay
3. Supposedly 2016 or 2017 is going to add parallel autopark and it is not on 2016? So does this mean it is being added (likely?) for 2017?
4. Supposedly 2016 or 2017 adds lane departure warning. It is not on the 2016s? So is this also being added to the 2017s?

If all this is true waiting for a 2017 seems like a no brainier for me.

#25 · (Edited)
Actually this Q applies 1st to the 2016 75th models, But may also apply to the 2017 . ? . When browsing dealers in my area for the 75th to show - of course still in transit, but actually am seeing that 1 of each (Laredo & Limited) version will eventually show up ! BUT, when viewing the specific vehicle info. they say the following (2 different dealerships, 2 different States) :
1. Ground Clearance - 10.0 inches This is obviously Wrong ! It is still 8.7 " correct ?
2. Vehicle weight - 4677 pounds Not sure on this though ! ? This even shows up on the JEEP.com SPECS page for the Laredo & Limited in both the 2015 & 2016 models . . . That can't be as the 2016's went on a DIET with the added aluminum parts, no ?
Can we get some verification - at least on the 2016's ? Of course once I add the Off Road Adv. 1, the skid plates are gonna add a few lbs. - Anyone happen to know how much poundage is added when ordering a Laredo E with the Off Road Adv. 1 ?

2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

So for all the people that don't want the 16 because of one feature the 17 will have.. Now you should wait until 2017 for the next gen GC. But then you should wait for the 2019 so all the kinks are worked out. But wait, then you should wait for the 2020 because there might be a mild refresh :p :p And it goes on...

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Now you should wait until 2017 for the next gen GC. But then you should wait for the 2019 so all the kinks are worked out.
The next gen platform is MY19, not MY17. MY17 will get a few little things, but it's still the same vehicle as the MY16 which is nearly the same vehicle as the MY14-15. For some folks, a particular feature is something they are willing to wait for!

It's worth waiting a mere four months for Android Auto/Carplay, especially considering I hope to drive this vehicle 10+ years like I have my current one. And besides, maybe by then they'll have figured out how to put sport mode back on the gear shift.
