Without question it's different since the name is diff, using past color changes, but to what degree....fwiw, caddies got a "diamond" black that had more flake than previous and it took the overall appearance more towards a dusty (as in dirty dusty) less black more charcoal shade...

It seems auto manufacturers r trying to address the cleaning difficulty of more true blacks.... just want I c...

I LOVE THAT . . . and Me too ! Never going back to work; that would mean re-upping into the Navy ! Don't think they would want an old 'skool' 65 yr. old sonar tech./operator !

ps / edit - AND NOW BACK TO THE "BLACK DIAMOND" Thoughts . . .

Well I'd be bummed if they went with a "lighter" black. I do prefer metallic black over non metallic black (got a brilliant black WJ now), but if I wanted charcoal grey, I'd get charcoal grey.

50 shades of grey...I've got a feeling diamond black super flake will make the car look dirty all the time.

Lux Brown or Velvet Red for me unless they bring back the BlackGreen.

Yeah I agree if they make the new metallic black lighter and dirtier looking than the brilliant black.

Hopefully Diamond Black will look similar or darker than Brilliant Black.

I'm very over any of the '50 shades' of grey or black, which is why I went with the Recon Green on my 2016 ! Funny though, in certain light situations this
"RG" gets Dark, as in shades of black, and when all shiny and clean looks "cool,"
but I Much Prefer when the Recon Green is in "full bloom" ! Thumbs Up !

ps; edit - wonder if the Recon Green is carrying over into 2017, as the 75th's are ?
