2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Wow it's ugly!!! It looks like it has brace face lol ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1470272133.620492.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1470272118.371827.jpg does anyone know if those are 20" rims? They're ugly if they are.

Edit: Yup I'm pretty sure they are 20"s and they are definitely a let down. Way to go FCA. Saved me money, I'll pass

Is the plaid an option on the Summit? Cross stitching or whatever.. I'm not seeing it on that Summit?..

The headliner being gray on the black interior Summit is a huge step backwards IMO.

That's bronze trim on the Overland.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Wellp for some reason this forum made me think that the 2017 was a huge change. Besides the revised bumper looks like just another WK2. The wheels are just another style, don't blow me away, but look ok. As of right now first impressions, I actually think a 2014-2016 looks better...atleast the 5 spoke wheels do. The new Summit may look a lot better, but based off the Limited and Overland, it's just ok.

be careful what you wish for...I fear the new re-design being one entirely from Fiat/Marchionne era...possible sgl/dbl turbo 6's over V8's, Fiat design queues, mpg driven design/feature decisions, shorter designed-in life expectancy, etc........but I remain an optimist.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Aren't those the same style 20" wheels they have on the 75th GC?

I'm glad I didn't wait and got my 16 HA instead. I just can't find anything exciting in the 17.

Yeah I think you're right, but it's just in a different finish. It's a good looking wheel, not spectacular, but nice. Maybe we knew it all along, but we basically saw what the 2017 was with the 2016 75th Ann. model for a long time now lol.

Agree - think the 17 Summit looks the most polished, although I do think the Trailhawk looks awesome too

2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Nope. Not for me. I prefer my '14 Overland over the '17s any day. The updated front makes it look a little cheap and unpolished. Adding more chrome to the Overland is not the answer. Seeing the TrailHawk and Summit, I decided to order the replacement for my Overland from another brand. I can see the #1 mod of the 17s being color matching the grille on colors other than black and white.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Finally got home and was able to upload the pics from my PC.

This is the 2017 Summit with California Package. I DO like how the "Grand Cherokee" on the side doors are not full chrome but more of a black with silver outline.

The only thing I didn't have time to ask the dealer is: The headliner in this unit was a light gray; can it be ordered in black?

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Definitely would be changing that grille out. Not sure why they made the Summit and Overland grills essentially the same. I would color match the black part, and change the inserts to be black mesh like the 2016 grill.
