2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

This is the 2017 Summit with California Package. I DO like how the "Grand Cherokee" on the side doors are not full chrome but more of a black with silver outline.

The only thing I didn't have time to ask the dealer is: The headliner in this unit was a light gray; can it be ordered in black?

Excellent pics! Thanks for uploading 👍. Definitely think the overall look of the Summit is much cleaner - anxious to get my Diamond Black Cali to D1 status.

Ugh - really starting to dislike those new Summit wheels. Even got a "are those the wheels...they are ugly" from significant other which got me rethinking them. May take them off ASAP and replace with some gloss black spider monkey reps.

Woohoo! That is good news. Is it reasonable to expect them to hit dealer lots around the end of October? Any thoughts on when the order banks might open up for them?

Thanks for your help and insight.

I agree although I still dont like it. Wow, this seems like a serious step back in terms of design. I still prefer the 14-16 over this.

The wheels on the Summit are a huge step in the wrong direction for me. IMO, they remind me of these types of rims

Yeah I don't know what's worse.. The Summit wheels or the front of the Overland. It's all pretty ugly. And that gray headliner with black interior. Huge letdown. I guess this is a sign of what to expect from the redesign that's coming soon. It will unfortunately, most likely be an even bigger let down

I really hope this is not whats to come, who knows maybe they will surprise us!

This might be the push I needed to finally enter the Wrangler world.

Have to agree with most of the comments on the Summit. Wheels are questionable and the grey headliner with black interior is a huge miss. Might just keep my '15 Summit.

Will definitely wait to see what the GC Altitude looks like. Hopefully, we'll see some pics before October.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Hello everyone! This is my first post.....this seems like a great forum and can't wait to be part of it.

Looking to trading up from my 2015 Chrysler 300C to a 2017 Grand Cherokee and having some trouble making a decision.

Other than the front and rear bumpers, the $4500!!! optional Laguna leather & active noise cancelling speakers/windows ...what is the difference between the Overland and the Summit models?

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Just checked Auto Trader and found a '17 White Summit with black interior and it has a black headliner. Wonder if the lighter colors get a black headliner and the darker colors get a grey one??

it's a brown interior so they must realize gray and brown don't go together as well as a black headliner
