I believe that reference is for having the option for an all digital cluster instead of just part of it like the Jeep.

So that leads to me this question. MDbones mentioned his 2014 steering being pretty bad. Since I am not noticing terrible steering on my 2015 HA, is there a difference between steering between a 2014 V6 and a 2015 V6? Maybe I need more time behind the wheel of a 2016 to be able to make a better conclusion, but based on 25 miles of driving, I couldn't tell a difference between 2016 HA steering in sport mode, and a 2015 HA.
Does anyone else have any input? How could his 2014 have been that bad? Also, FWIW, I had a 2014 Summit V8 and I didn't like the steering. IMO was wayyy too heavy and made the entire Jeep feel like you were driving a tank. However, the 2014 V6 should have had the electric steering no?
I had a 14 Overland V-6 and the steering was just fine. Not too light and responsive. The tire feel was lacking but other than that a good steering system. I drove a friend's V-8 14 Summit and it was completely different with a VERY heavy feel and sluggish responsiveness at least comparatively.

I just think the refresh falls short in providing some features you can expect on a MY17 vehicle in that class - like a top view camera etc. What really ticked me off was that they even took away the adaptive headlights on the Summit while the Volvo can be ordered with adaptive full LEDs. I know that the current GC will be replaced fairly soon so it made sense they didn't offer all the features like HUD or an all-digital speedometer. The timing simply favors the Volvo right now.

However, I could see myself again in the all-new GC later on because I'm pretty sure the next GC will get all the bells and whistles again.
Beautiful car, best seats in the industry.
The engine though? No thanks. Way too much air being forced in to make HP.
Plus the drone of the 4cyl, and no towing capacity=no 179a. I am out.

The XC90 was on my shortlist until I sat in one at a car show - looked good but something about it felt like I aged about 20 years being in it. Also the fact that 100% of the time I have seen one on the road it was driven by an older person or a woman. Nothing wrong with that of course!

Also to option it out the way I wanted would have been at least $5k more than my 17 Summit. Also loved the new Jag F-pace but that was $10k more. Not 100% happy with the fact mine won't have the newest Uconnect, but I'm over it. Excited for the awesome look of the new Summit in black with that crazy cool cattle tan interior, and my gloss black spider monkey reps will toughen up the look a bit and make it more unique.

Hopefully you give it a good extended test drive before ditching Jeep, but now you will start noticing all of the drivers I mentioned of that XC - lmao

Humm interesting....and this was a V6?!? I honestly cannot see how a 2015 V6 steering could feel like a barge. If that feels like a barge than holy crap if you tried driving a 2014/2015 V8 you would probably give up lol
Going from my 2014 Summit V8 makes my 2015 V6 feel like a go kart...no joke.

You and I both went from a 14 V8. Honestly I think something has always been wrong with my 2015 V6. It needed an alignment since I drove it off the lot. It still feels like it needs an alignment after one was performed.

What trim did you sit in? The same has been said for Summits. Where I live, I've never seen a guy in either an Overland or Summit. Ever! I occasionally see older men in Limiteds lol

Was the R spec on the XC. Too funny - I see a good mix. The women here in Texas love their Yukons & Tahoes, so I see more in those than anything.

Ahh yes that's right now I remember. Ok so that explains your thoughts on the 2014 steering. All I remember was the first time I test drove a 2015 HA V6 was the difference in steering blew me away. So much so that it literally felt like a completely different vehicle. The steering alone is a huge factor in why I left the V8 and the overall driving experience is IMO much better. I bet the 2016 V8 with all electric steering is pretty awesome!

Overall I love it and will be trading in my RAM diesel to go back to an Overland as soon as the updated radio is available. Does anyone have any updates on the new radio. I'm a big fan of Android Auto and a higher resolution screen doesn't hurt either. If I can figure out how to post pics I'll share the pics I took.
I'm waiting on Radio too. Will wait until 2018 if I have to.

Curious on any new info on Radio as well. If it is just a drop in replacement I just don't understand why they don't drop it in their Jeep GC but do on other models.
