Also . I have to be completely honest . I'm not digging the look of these 2017 at all . The rims on the summit are terrible . I'm loving my 2014 a lot more .

How do you like the new for '16, Park Sense with Stop. Has it ever engaged with you? It carried Fwd to the '17s.

I would think you would have to be real close and I wouldn't be willing to try it on anything.

Garage
It works great when I put my bike on the back and forget to turn it off, then try to back out of the garage! It jams on the brakes quite well.

Hopefully you give it a good extended test drive before ditching Jeep, but now you will start noticing all of the drivers I mentioned of that XC - lmao

Funny you mention that! Guess who will be driving the XC90? It will be my mum's vehicle so that should be a perfect match. Right now, she's driving the Lincoln Hybrid so performance-wise, the T6 should already be an upgrade. I'm probably going to add the Polestar tuning which should take care of the rest.

I'm going to get myself into a Lincoln Continental - granted, something totally different than my Jeep but it's a very appealing vehicle. Basically, i'm planning on switching the 'luxury' from my current Jeep to my future Lincoln and turn the high mile 'utility' from Lincoln back into the Volvo SUV. I'm eyeballing a Black Label Conti for the luxury and a xc90 Momentum for the best bang for the buck. One reason I'm not considering the Inscription is the fact that the few added features you get a far too expensive in relation to the lease-quotes. the Momentum almost costs the same as the Inscription when fully loaded - but the lease payment highly favors the Momentum.

My current GC had zero issues and I really like it - it's just that the 17 is not different enough for me. I also know that I would have to go for the Summit again and add that fancy $5K leather to be satisfied which would probably push my lease-payment close to $800 - if not above (I already am at $780 at 39/m, 12k miles). Then I would have to buy an extended warranty because my mother drives 15k miles a year. On a 3-year lease, that exceeds the factory warranty, adding to the monthly payment as well. Alternatively, I could lease a fully loaded XC90 Momentum for the same amount. The Volvo comes with a 50k-mile/4-year warranty which covers her mileage for a 36- or 39-month lease. Although not that important, it's a nice add-on that on the XC90, maintenance for the first 3 years and 36k miles is free.

Granted, it won't have a suede headliner, ventilated seats (fortunately, my mother never uses them) or a leather dash - but the list of features the Volvo has which are not on the Jeep is quite impressive as well (4-zone A/C, interior ambient lights, HUD, the all-digital speedometer, top view camera, large animal detection, a highly advanced auto cruise control, LED headlights etc.). I think it's worth a try...

And as I said, I won't be ditching Jeep, I'm just taking a break...

I had no idea they still made the Continental! My grandparents had one up until they got too old to drive. Crazy how fast that gold with white interior sold! That is definitely quite a change from the Summit. So did the amazing Matthew M. commercials win you over - lol

You told yourself "alright alright alright- I gotta get me one of these..."

Well, they just started building it again - actually, a few weeks ago:

Um, folks...things seem to be getting astray from discussing MY17 JGC features, etc...

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Some people have received additional rebates when ordering a Jeep Brochure. Currently they do not offer a 2017 brochure for order on Jeep website.

For those that have received the discount from getting a brochure, was it for the specific model year or any Jeep GC. (aka- if I order a 2016 GC brochure and get a rebate, could it be applied to a '17)?

I couldn't when I bought my '14 after getting one good for a '13.
