Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Was there a 2016 Altitude model? Trying to get an idea of the options that will be available on the 2017 by looking at that.

I'm sure Chrysler tested the 14-15 shifter. Look what testing gets you.

Haaaaaa...you know what that shifter got me???
To leave Jeep, buy a s#itcan '15 Cadillac Escalade, have Cadillac buy it back and replace it with a '16, have the dealer buy that one back because it was worse than the '15.....All because my leg rubbed against that albatross on the console in the '15 SRT....Something i did not experience in my '11 Summit, or in my '17 SRT once it gets here!!!

Most people don't care THAT MUCH about car play itself. But are looking for the next Gen Radio that has quite a few new HARDWARE features along with Car Play. That was the main reason I wanted it, because I rarely plug in my phone or ever want to. But I still really wanted the new Radio.

Some people certainly do care and expect (hope for) updates over time that will improve things. They want to buy into this new tech and don't want to be locked out with their $40K-$60K Vehicle from enjoying the perks it MIGHT offer them.

It will probably be due out any day now, now that I just picked up the 2017 Summit today. Awesome Vehicle, including the HK Radio. And numerous little changes to uconnect and the Dash display over the 2015. Don't understand why all these little changes don't show up on the 2015's and 2016's, since it's supposedly the same hardware.

No, there was no Laredo-based Altitude for MY16. Only the Overland-based HA.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Milous (or anybody) it appears to me (from obsessive review of the available photos) that the 18" WDD, WBC, WCV and WCT are all the same wheel, just with different finishes applied. Is this correct?

There are way to many to list. I don't know which were 2016 updates vs 2017 updates. And I keep finding more.

One big one is, that it apparently has the "Siri update" that was completely unusable on my 2015 and I rolled the 2015 back to the prior version it was so bad. This seems to be running fine. Snappier too.

Themes are different, look on the Dash is a little different, you can have short cuts (Which I have not tried yet).

Really impressed with the continued refinements. But don't understand why prior years can't get these updates. None of it is hardware specific.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Just put a deposit on a 2017 Summit 4x4 ecodiesel with laguna leather package. When i saw the total of 72k with taxes it made me rethink if its even worth that much. I'm thinking of just getting a volvo xc90 fully loaded for just under that price. What do you all think??

I'm getting a 17 Summit and will be paying well under $20k less than that. Mine won't be base but I would never pay over $70k for a GC unless it was an SRT.

If I had 70k for a car I'd get a blacked out British racing green FPace. But I don't so I'll get the overland.
