That's the first Trail Hawk I like. The Black Makes the flat black hood look like "Suede", like the seats. The Red Accents look nice against the black too. On the other colors I HATE the flat black hood (looks cheesy).

Went I got up close to the white, I found I could see EVERYTHING. Every little stupid piece of dirt. Drove me crazy. The mini bus is already big enough haha.

I enjoy the black. It does suck in the winter though with white salt. Through the summer, I don't feel like it ever looks "dirtier" than the Van.

Nothing wrong with silver though! Hope you enjoy!
Thanks man, I really like silver because it is bright, it tends to look clean even when dirty, and it is more interesting than plain white. I had a White Nissan Titan and it didn't show scratches or dings, but a little rain and the road grime made it look filthy. Black tends to show dings, scratches and salt like you mentioned. This is why I avoid it, but I still contend that, when clean, nothing can compare to a shiny black car/truck.

The update uconnect looks great and insanely fast. I also like how it still leaves the bottom toolbar available for your climate, radio, phone, etc. Hopefully the new uconnect system is backwards compatible. Looks like it should be a simple plug and play swap out for the older radios

Surprised Jeep doesn't get the new Uconnect system at launch for the 17 model years. This is the brand bringing in money to the overall company, yet it has to wait for the best features as always.

Risky if there turn out to be issues.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I don't mind letting the Chryslers beta test it for a month or two ...

I've been waiting this long, I can wait a little longer. Besides, so far I've gotten an improved engine, a working shifter, an ELSD and real tires out of it.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I'm still trying to figure out why some make it such a big deal to plug your phone in for Carplay? We are not at the point where where battery life is great on anything, it has been a stagnate for the last 10 years or so. There are many alternative battery technologies that are out there but none of them have gone mainstream.

So if you go on a 30-60min trip with your car you would rather use CP unplugged and drain a good 10-15% of your battery if you are using during that period? I would rather leave it plugged in and have a 100% charge when i get out of my vehicle. CP uses your phones hardware (cpu, RAM etc..) for all the features, what you see on the Uconnect is just a overlay onto there OS and its uses a tiny amount of its own resources to display CP itself.

I always plug in my phone when driving, If it didn't actually have that option I would probably wouldnt want car play. Its pretty comical hearing people wanting or talking about their HK 19 speaker system and then streaming music through Bluetooth it, Bluetooth audio is horrible.

I agree with all of that except the very last part. Yes Bluetooth audio out of my wife's iPhone is horrible – but it's pretty darn good out of my Samsung and it was terrific out of my old Moto X.

I'm a talk radio man, so I guess all of this through the phone business is mute.
