Not necessarily - you could probably stream all kinds of talk stuff that you can't get OTA. But then again most of that probably deserves to stay on mute.

Went I got up close to the white, I found I could see EVERYTHING. Every little stupid piece of dirt. Drove me crazy. The mini bus is already big enough haha.

I enjoy the black. It does suck in the winter though with white salt. Through the summer, I don't feel like it ever looks "dirtier" than the Van.

Nothing wrong with silver though! Hope you enjoy!
I live at the end of a 1.5 mile dirt road in Vermont. The truck will never look as clean as it does the day I pick it up from the dealer lol. It's impossible, and I've just about given up. Gray or silver will probably be my best bet.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I'm not currently in the market (although I'm always looking) but my local dealership just got an Ivory Tri-Coat Overland that has me tempted...I've never been a huge fan of white pearl, but I loved it.

Sweet, thanks for posting. Not seen it in black yet. Was thinking of getting the dark grey so you can see the black hood decal more, but this looks really nice. Also surprised how nice it looks with the grey / silver mirrors.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Wife & I tried to pull the trigger this evening and order a 2017 4x4 Limited 75th Anniv Ecodiesel but the fleet manager told us the system wouldn't let them order that combination? wth it's on the 2016's and shows on the 2017 'Features' brochure. Maybe some sort of delay?
Any info would be great!

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Koons is showing incentives for the 2017 (selected) Grand Cherokees 9/1 through 10/3.

$750 cash back

Financing options starting with 0% for three years.

I'm not sure if it is either or.

I'm not sure what selected means.

Given the late start of 2017 diesels and death of 75th Anniversary in December, there most likely isn't enough time to schedule production at this point.

We are not at the point where where battery life is great on anything, it has been a stagnate for the last 10 years or so. There are many alternative battery technologies that are out there but none of them have gone mainstream.

So if you go on a 30-60min trip with your car you would rather use CP unplugged and drain a good 10-15% of your battery if you are using during that period? I would rather leave it plugged in and have a 100% charge when i get out of my vehicle. CP uses your phones hardware (cpu, RAM etc..) for all the features, what you see on the Uconnect is just a overlay onto there OS and its uses a tiny amount of its own resources to display CP itself.

I always plug in my phone when driving, If it didn't actually have that option I would probably wouldnt want car play. Its pretty comical hearing people wanting or talking about their HK 19 speaker system and then streaming music through Bluetooth it, Bluetooth audio is horrible.
Battery in my iPhone 6s Plus is amazing. I can go days without plugging in.

I want the new CPU because the current radio bogs down with 128GB USB stick 9000 songs at the lowest MP3 compression (320) to get the best sound. It stalls changing tunes, takes forever updating catalog, which it does randomly. 15 min into drive it will say I'm still updating catalog. If I try to say "play song". Nav is slow to activate and sometimes hands free phone is slow to be ready too. May all be due to being busy with my large USB library.

When you "stream" with "via" (now) you DO NOT incur the Bluetooth audio lossy sound. It is a "tethered" DATA connection over Bluetooth and its decoded on the radio. Pandora via "via" sounds quite decent. Still not as good as the underpowered USB stick though. I don't know if car play or android will be the same or not and its just a screen and audio extension or DATA tethered.

But I personally didn't want car play for music streaming. I wanted faster CPU and better integration of text, map and voice driven stuff (Siri).

Threre two levels of Bluetooth audio as well. Not sure if current radio and iPhone supports the higher throughput. And I beleive it is lossless. Called aptX and has been around for a while now. 5 years?

I guess that makes the most sense, the 75th Anniv can't last forever I guess
Not sold on the Trailhawk hood sticker and fuzzy seat material, would have to see first-hand to make that call. We are having the dealer search high & low for an existing Limited 75th with the goodies we want, I suppose it will come down to 'what are you willing to compromise on'. That's unfortunate when you are spending $50K
