Did you hear why CRD production was pushed back to October 17th?

Altitude can be your target. Don't hold your breath on the CarPlay feature. If...and I do mean if...it becomes available for MY17 as Milous has noted, at this point it will be later in the model year, if at all.

Mine looks like the one in the top picture ... that is leather wrapped with wood top.

The second one is the same, the picture isn't exposed properly.

The central section incorporating the horn button looks different. (I had to stare a long time to figure that out.)

Yep, that's the section I was referring to. The "U" shaped stitching is missing in the bottom one.

You guys are right. I was looking at the wheel part. The center on mine is not stitched. In fact I think it is plastic, not even leather. The one built for the car show must have been a special edition.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

the leather airbag cover might have been a running change as it's in the summit brochure and pics all over but looks like it is only on the SRT?

from wk2jeeps:

Summit:

SRT:

EDIT: Well, not so fast....looks like maybe the leather airbag cover was scratched from the package entirely? just checked actual pics of several '17 SRT's with the full leather wrap pkg and all have the longstanding plastic/chrome SRT wheel bag cover, no "Jeep" and no leather...fwiw....

Will the Altitude be available in any other trim than Laredo? I was looking to purchase a summit but I really loved the look of the overland Altitude of the 2016s.

No. Altitude is a Laredo-based special edition. Jeep did not bring forward the "High Altitude" for MY17 which was based on the Overland with Summit fascias.

Yes that's what I meant to say, the High Altitude. So no HA for MY17 then ... the summit it shall be then
