Even on the Summit QDII shows up as part of the V8 option. Check some window stickers.

This is a Summit V8 Sticker.

5.7-Liter HEMIŽ V8 Engine $ 3,795
3.09 Rear Axle Ratio
700-Amp Maintenance Free Battery
Anti-Lock 4-Wheel Disc Heavy Duty
Brakes
Electronic Rear Limited-Slip Differential
Quadra-Drive IIŽ 4WD System

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I looked at a few stickers in the Koons inventory. I don't see QDII on the V6 Summits, unless it is hiding from me.

Bill,
It's not available on the V6 Summit. I will have to settle for the brake traction control as I didn't want to get the V8. Mostly my wife's car in summer and we have been happy with our 14 V6 Overland. Al

I misunderstood. I thought the other reason to get a Summit was to get QDII since you couldn't get it on the Overland.

Bill,
My original plan was to get a red Summit with the brown interior. But if QDII was really available on the V6 Overland, I would have ordered the Overland. Probably order the Summit next week. Al

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

If QDII is available on the V6 Overland by selecting the ORA II. What is objectionable about getting QDII with that option?

For many, it means eschewing the 20" wheels because ORA II substitutes the 18" wheels as well as the Goodyear kevlar AT tires. For those folks, ORA II may be an undesirable option.

Jim, Exactly. I didn't want to give up the 20 inch tires and also add the installation of the skid plates. I did see an Overland with the 18 inch wheels and they look too much like the wheels on the Limited. I just thought it would nice to get ELSD without the ORA II package since "Build & Price" allowed it. But I lived without it on the last two Jeeps so looks like my 17 Summit won't have it either. Al

I didn't care that much about the ELSD. I just want what will most likely be my last HEMI and the ELSD came along for the ride. And I got my first set of 20s.

I has a 100 mile round trip today. I tried the lane sense, it works well. I tried the cruise that maintains distance and didn't get it to work.

The most important thing of all;

Bill, make sure the ACC is actually turned on. The cruise control can be used in "traditional cruise control" mode, too, unless they've changed something. That mode will not sense traffic and will run you right up someone's you-know-what...

I hit the ACC button and the symbol showed up in the evic where the set speed would otherwise show. The other two buttons allowed me to adjust the distance from 1-5 bars, so I figure it was on. I intend to check the manual after some coffee in the morning. On several tries I did wind up having to use the brakes, but nothing severe.

Was that the first time you ever tried to use the ACC?
