You still have to hit the set+ or set- after hitting acc to actually set the cruise control...just like the with the regular cc. You will then see your set speed in the lower right of the speedo. Hitting the +/- after that will bump that number up or down.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Regular cruise control lights up green. Adaptive Cruise control is white.

Adaptive is green on 2017. Not sure what regular is but my guess is that was green too.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Regular is normal cruise control...not adaptive...the button in between the set+ and set-. If you hit that button, then set with + or -, you will be using regular cruise control, just like any other vehicle has. The adaptive cruise control is done with the ACC button which is the left one of the 3 across the bottom.

You really should read your owners manual...it doesn't take that long, and really helps you understand all these fancy tech features.
FYI--I downloaded and read the entire owners manual before I even took delivery of my Summit.

They both are white to indicate they are turned on. They turn green to indicate they are set and working.

Lane Sense when turned on is white until you hit a specific speed (I think 37MPH) and then turns green. I does not work at slower speeds.
It then turns orange to indicate it is making a correction.

When is too early to start the MY18 thread?

On my 2015 adaptive cruise is lit up white when in use too, it shows the speed set at and the distance lines so that's how I know it's set. I once accidentally turned on regular cruise and set it and it lit up green which I had never seen before and I eventually realized I had the wrong cruise control on and active.

I should have specified on the MY17, even though this thread is about MY17 features.

My bad.

If I see Bubba driving down the road while reading his owner's manual ... that's on you!

I wonder if the danger in doing that is mentioned in one of the 427 warnings in the manual.

That's why the manual should b on the hard-drive and available/searchable via VOX...all tech is currently on board just maybe a few mb here and processor upgrade there to make it work fluidly...just my thought for the day, carry-on
