Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

So many choices...holding out yet again for another year now for the 2018 models and CarPlay. But come next summer I know I am going to be thinking "2019 will be a redesign and this 2018 will look dated already" and may wait yet another year after that for 2019's to come out.

Plus that twin turbo is really enticing. Is it being tested in any other vehicles now?

They are waiting for you to be the guinea pig. If I were you I would settle for Car Play.

Meh, don't care about that. If it breaks down then warranty or max are covers it, plus I'll take a few days off of work a few times so it all works out.

Yeah but the new styling is going to look like a big Cherokee.

Yeah I'm terrified of how they are going to butcher the GC. Maybe since they just redesigned a vehicle (compass) to look exactly like the already dated GC, it won't be too horrible and will only change a little.

My concern as well. I fear they may "Wagoneer it" making the fuel savings/power gain of the twin turbo irrelevant on a bigger/heavier vehicle. They may go the other way and make it more crossover-like messing with the current aesthetics. Who knows.

There is also something to be said for that tried and true HEMI sound. MY18 seems like the way to go.

Re: 2017 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

Does the Summit ever include the Off Road ii Trail Rated option as part of its packages or is that limited only to the Trailhawk and Overland? I see the skid plates are offered, but not the Off Road package.

I would:
1. Look at your tail light to see if the gap is tight.
2. Open the drivers door and look at the build date. There's a sticker on the doors edge and then look for the MMDDHH this is the month, day and hour your JGC was built. According to the TSB its for vehicles built between 11 AUG and 13 AUG 2016 for the 2017 MY...Hope this helps
